First of all, congrats on a great season from a Gopher fan. While I can't bring myself to cheer for North Dakota, I can appreciate the on-going success the program has had. As the NCAA tournament has rolled around the past three or four years, I have been convinced that North Dakota was "the team to beat."
Having said that, here is a pretty interesting comparison.
Coach A Record - First Six Seasons
25 - 15 - 5 (NCAA Runner Up)
29 - 16 - 1 (League Playoff Title, NCAA 3rd Place)
24 - 14 - 5 (NCAA 3rd Place)
28 - 11 - 4 (NCAA 3rd Place)
24 - 15 - 4 (League Regular Season Title, NCAA Qualification)
25 - 13 - 5 (League Playoff Title, NCAA Qualification)
Coach B Record - First Six Seasons
18 - 18 - 3
19 - 18 - 1
31 - 10 - 2 (League Regular Season Title, League Playoff Title, NCAA 1st Place)
30 - 8 - 1 (League Regular Season Title, NCAA Qualification)
32 - 6 - 2 (League Regular Season Title, NCAA Qualification)
31 - 8 - 5 (League Playoff Title, NCAA 1st Place)
Coach C Record - First Six Seasons
35 - 13 - 0 (NCAA 3rd Place)
34 - 14 - 1 (NCAA 3rd Place)
34 - 10 - 0 (League Regular Season Title, NCAA 3rd Place)
34 - 11 - 3 (League Regular Season Title, NCAA 2nd Place)
28 - 16 - 2 (NCAA Qualification)
30 - 10 - 5 (NCAA Qualification)
To me, it is very interesting to see how close Coach A and Coach C are. Excluding the titles from Coach B, those seasons are pretty similar as well.
