Game 2 of the war in the Rockies takes place tonight at Magness Arena at 7:07 p.m. This contest should be just as intense as last night's 1-0 DU victory with Chevy getting his 4th shutout of the season. Saturday's game will be webcast live on Pioneer Vision at www.DenverPioneers.com and on the UND website at www.siouxsports.com for a fee. The game can also be heard on FM 104.3 the FAN with the audiocast and live stats also available at www.DenverPioneers.com.

So Seattle and Omaha, I'm expecting you boys to be on your customary best behavior tonight. I hope miscreants can find a video link to watch the Hostile and AbuSIEVES. Seattle, you'll be glad to know I got a bit of early Christmas shopping done this afternoon. I was able to drive around town with my car's sunroof open and enjoy the sunny sixty-eight degree weather. Remember the last time you tried that Seattle? That's right, you almost drowned.:p And what are you laughing at Omaha. The last time you tried that you got a fifth degree carcinoma.:eek:

Well played, interesting game last night. I was fascinated that Coach Hakstol "went Don Lucia" and adopted the "let's score no goals" offensive game plan. Frankly, it was an inspired bit of coaching on his part. Omaha, I'm sure you'll be happy to know I toasted last night's Denver victory by lifting a late-night glass of Merlot in your honor. Hey, I hope your daughter's team is doing well. I expect they should be about ready to beat the Yankees in a late Fall World Series Challenge.

I'm bored so I'll keep you posted on the UNH/BU game. UNH just scored 5 minutes into the first period. This kid Butler is on fire, 11 goals in 12 games:eek:

I did get a sunburn today. Pitched a master piece against a team from the Southwest. Girls on that team were as big as me. They had not lost a game until today.:D

Lets go REFS!!!!

I wont be able to keep track of the coaches score tonight, so if anyone has the video feed they can feel free to do so.

Scoring is based on how many times either coach approches the boards with any part of their body to protest a call...

Last nights results were Gwoz 15 Hack 10 :D

Junior Marc Cheverie will be back between the pipes as the Pioneers and North Dakota conclude a two-game series at Magness Arena. The lineup has changed slightly from Friday’s 1-0 DU victory. Freshman Chris Knowlton will replace Nate Dewhurst at right wing on the Drew Shore-centered line (with Shawn Ostrow).

Sophomore defenseman Patrick Wiercioch, who missed Friday’s game with a knee injury, might play. He will participate in the pregame skate. It will be Wiercioch or freshman Paul Phillips paired up with sophomore John Lee. Senior Cody Brookwell (illness) remains out.

After Friday’s heart-pounding victory, DU coach George Gwozdecky said Wiercioch might play in Game 2 in a limited role. We all know what that is … the power play. Wiercioch played that role last season while recovering from a shoulder injury.

The Sioux lineup hasn’t changed. Sophomore Brad Eidsness will again be in net.

Thanks for the update!! So after watching this Hockey East game for a period and a half, I would say, both DU and UND would kills these guys!!

I've recovered from both Notre Dame and Michigan losing (at home, no less) AND the spanking I took from the puerile ice eaters at UAA. I'm here, got my Crown Royal, got a 10 pound bag of ice and I'm ready.

Got the new 2 gallon bottle, sits on the floor, with a built in pump. And I'm pretty experienced at squeezing a rubber ball to get something up.

Gwoz says Wiercioch will only play on the PP if he plays. Phillips will play if Patrick can't go.

Yeah, and he also says he's not sure last night's performance by Chevy is his best. Well, the kid DOES have four shutouts. Still, tough room.
