UND @ CC. Battle for home ice in the playoffs.

Re: UND @ CC. Battle for home ice in the playoffs.

Gregoire gets a hatty. MacWilliam and Blood pummel the CC forwards all weekend long.

Sioux sweep.

Re: UND @ CC. Battle for home ice in the playoffs.

I cheered for CC to lose. :p

I cheered for CC to actually show up to play and make a game of it so it would at least be interesting to watch. So, nice of them to do that for a period.

I'm ready for the Tigers this weekend! I don't know about the boys, but I hope they follow my lead!:D

Yeah if only they would have remembered to play the first 5 periods of the weekend then maybe things would have been different. However it is nice to see that most of the Sioux fans are picking them to sweep. They usually are wrong when they do so. ;)

No way am I calling a Sioux sweep this weekend.
When was the last time UND swept CC in the Springs? There are much better Sioux teams in the past that have gone to CC and come back with less than 4 points.
I would honestly be happy with a split this weekend. It would keep the teams tied in the WCHA, but UND has an easier last weekend...

But did those teams head to the Springs with only 2 weeks to go in the season? CC is done, again.

I think if CC wants home ice they have to sweep UND or get 3 points. A split or less then that would mean they are on the road for the playoffs. Like you said UND has a very favorable series next week and CC does not.

And to answer your original question, I believe it was during the 98-99 season.

Re: UND @ CC. Battle for home ice in the playoffs.

That team swept pretty much everyone. May have been the best UND team to not win it all.

That was the same season that CC had a ton of injuries and could have challenged the Sioux had they been healthy. CC played every game of that season with at least one or multiple players out of the lineup. I will never forget how Toby Petersen broke both his legs that year and Darren Clark broke his arm with one month left in the season.

2003-2004 Fighting Sioux team was another.

CC and UND always match up well. Always look forward to these games because they are always fast paced up and down hockey. A split is a must but a sweep would be friggin' sweet! :D

Umm, no. The 98-99 team went 24-2-2 in the WCHA. Jeff Panzer was on the third line. That is how good they were.

Wow, tarded out. :o Was looking at the 88-89 schedule on FightingSioux.com, which fooled me cause coincidentally the Sioux swept all 4 games against CC that season.

Edit: Also add in the fact that FightingSioux.com doesn't even have the 98-99 season schedule/results on the website. o.O
