Better puck movement as the game wore on. Marcinew with some important minutes. Jeez, lots of pretty girls at DU these days. IIRC, too many of the co-eds in my day looked like the Press "sisters!" Is it my imagination, or in the photo of Monty on the sign in page for Pioneervision slightly different than the earlier one? And, doesn't it look like there's no jelly donut behind him? Photo shop?

I'm going to be badly conflicted on Friday. My high school is off to a great start. Ranked. And looking quite good. It still amazes me that I'm able to sit on my big a*s in Phoenix and watch my Chicago area HS play football. Anyway, I may be late in joining the DU festivities. KO is at 5:30 Phoenix time.

I couldn't figure out how to switch back and forth between Pio Vision and the scoring thread. BTW, I looked more closely--it's a different pic of Monty in the locker room, but you can still see the beloved jelly donut behind him. Silly question, of course, but what the h*ll is wrong with us? Monty saw some positives. Referred quite a bit to "teaching." I'm expecting a little more fire in his post game comments than we had been used to from Gwoz.

Donut will be going just don't know when yet. This is a very young team which is going to take some time to gel. Lots of home games to start off with should help them get acclimated. I think we will start to see more of Monty's system next week when he can only dress 18 skaters. I am looking for big years out of Q, Loney, Viva, Doremus and Tabrum up front.
It is strange not seeing Gwoz behind the bench. Gwoz was the only coach we had at Magness until now.
