(un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

Listen. All I'm saying is, Vikings fans think the Dome is on the second tier of homefield advans (first tier is Lambeau, Yankee Stadium, etc) and I say it's not. For MN-GB games, I think the advan does not exist.

Chalk it up to proximity of the teams, the local fans of this series' teams, whatever.

"Domefield" advan is NOT a factor in this series. Plain and simple. Obviously at this point, I'm not changing anyone's mind, and vice versa.

That being said, beat those *ers from the east, and let's be done with it. ;)

I can do this all day...:)

Isn't it great how now that MNS is posting article after article proving him wrong, Brent is trying to change the subject?:D

Who's changing the subject?

His articles are heavily peppered with accusations of artificial noise, which IIRC was substantiated by the NFL.

It doesn't disprove the ratio of pro-/anti-fans of the Vikings, which was my main reasoning of the non-home-field advan for the MN-GB series in the first place. :p

No, your original question I answered was to Handy telling him to prove that homefield exists...judging crowd ratio from on TV is just flawed to begin with...:p

Nothing would disprove anything to a dingus like you. You'd have some zany excuse to dismiss any article that is posted.

Why? It was obvious during the MN-WI game today, from the screen shots. There were two corners that had WI fans, and the rest of "The Bank's" seating were MN, from the looks of it. I have yet to see that ratio (with the same crowd shots) for a MN-GB game in the last 10 years.

BOX. :D

Thank God you'll never have children.

It was obvious because the announcers said it, then made it a point to show the corner. :p

They showed a full screen crowd shot, which showed at least 2/3 the stadium, and the upper left and upper right corner sections were red, while the rest of the stadium was gold (some maroon).

I have not seen that ratio for MN-GB games, and you know my NFL viewing habits.

BOX. Wait, you can't see that, since it's a BOX. :p

They did that to show the ratio...they have never done that for any <strike>GB/MN</strike> NFL game I have ever watched.

EDIT: And you still have nothing on the original point of the homefield advantage argument that started this whole thing.

Yes I do. They show full-side (or more) shots for NFL games (usually going to or coming from commercial break, such as the MN-WI game today). And never have I seen the same ratio in a MN-GB game.

And I rely on my viewing history which is probably averaging 11 hours each NFL Sunday for the last, oh I dunno, 15-16 years?! (And every Mon night game for the same time period)

Frankly, I think you like saying "box" because that is about the closest you have ever been to one.

Ratio (especially when it FAVORS THE HOME TEAM) does nothing to disprove homefield advantage...

And you know that's not true about box. :D

MNS: When dealing with idiots, never sink to their level. They'll beat you with experience. ;)

Sure it does. If I see 67-33 for home fans.....that's just wrong.

And TPIWWP. :p
