Re: Uml@rpi 11/25/18

I figured Baltimore too based on seeding, but the NCAA doesn’t commit to a strict seedings-based approach. They were supposed to announce sites today.

But they do have a bracket without possibility to re-seed, so we knew we would play one of the Maryland teams if we won, as opposed to Mount Union.

Re: Uml@rpi 11/25/18

I don’t believe there is anything in the rule book that defines an ENG. is there any doubt, however, that the net was intentionally empty? Therefore, I still think ENG is the correct call.

I'll have to look at the break for the rules, but empty net and extra attacker are usually agreed to be pure antonyms, so ENG would mean 6 skaters are on the ice.

Absolutely. I was only talking about the siting, which as of when I checked last night hadn’t been announced.

It can be assumed, especially if you're using it to determine who is the home team.

No it can’t. You might think it likely, but the NCAA specifically said sites would be announced on Sunday. If it was all pre-determined they would have already known as soon as the games were over.
