Well, never thought we'd be going into a season as the pre-season #1 nationally. Never.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, and there's a tough schedule at the beginning so the test will start quickly.

Anyone want to give their HE predictions for Lowell (what's Lowell's final record in league play) or overall?

THey will play everyone more than once. Other than that I gave up trying to figure things out years ago.

Personally I think Folin is more likely to join the D list than Wilson on the Forwards list. That being said, Pendenza could get 40+ points this season. So I think he is someone to watch. :)
It has been a lot of fun to see him grow at Lowell. Specially as a local kid that used to come to hockey games when he was younger, and then wanted to play for Lowell.

My breakdown:
BC 1-1 (just noticed, we're playing them late in the year, when they're usually picking up steam)
BU 1-1
Maine 2-0
UMass 2-0
Merrimack 1-1
Northeastern 2-0
UNH 1-1
UND 1-0-1 (both home games)
PC 1-1
Vermont 2-0

14-5-1. Probably too high, but I a) don't really want to think of losing a series to anyone this year and b) think the lower half teams are the ones that Lowell absolutely needs to capitalize on.

I wonder if we'll see some of the regulars sit and play some of the depth players on Saturday?

Just curious from my perspective as to who they'd sit. I'd imagine each netminder gets one period. But you also want to get everyone some ice-time in a game before the first game. Of course, the first game is Sacred Heart so....

Last year, Norm literally played everyone - 28 guys got ice time (http://www.hockeyeastonline.com/men/boxes13.php?mtoruml1.o06). Brian Robbins was the only one not to see any action. Carr and Hellebuyck split the time nearly evenly. I recall midway through the second period about 10 guys got up from the bench and just went into the room and 10 others came out and took their place on the bench. I had never seen that before. Apparently it is allowed, as long as both coaches agree on it beforehand.

Well then, that settles that.
