'Dogs 2 - Beavs 0 after a scoreless second period.

A more competitive game today with BSU coming close to tying it up a few times late in the first period before Rogge sprung herself loose with the puck from center along the boards and let go of a nice wrist shot from the slot that should have been a routine save but wasn't.

Checking to see if Johnson (goaltender) is still on the roster since I haven't seen her on the bench. Turns out she's not on the roster.

Found that UMD has 2 backup goaltenders this year at least one of which seems to have a good pedigree which might be valuable if something should happen to Rooney.

BSU pulled their choolie with about a minute left in the game while they were shorthanded...but to no avail.

Rogge with both UMD goals...adding to her 2 goals and 1 assist from yesterday.

UMD 3 - SCSU 1 final.

Somewhat of a yawner...literally...fell asleep and missed the first half of the third period and all the fireworks (2 goals).

SCSU turns the tables on UMD in the rematch, 3-2 to gain the split.

SCSU 3 - UMD 2 Final.

SCSU scored with about 4 minutes left on the clock for the win.

The 'Dogs had lots of opportunities (including a PP) before that to pull ahead but seem to have trouble aiming for the empty part of the net.

Instead the game ends with Rooney pulled for an extra attacker.

Alder, SCSU's goaltender via Switzerland, appears to have some decent skills.

I wasn't completely sure about the number but I thought that I had it right...apparently not.

Fine game between the Bulldogs & the Buckeyes on Friday night. The Unofficial Three Stars are now available for gazing on the Ohio State thread.

1-0 Clarkson after one on a goal with 26.5 seconds left in the period. You could feel it coming, because the puck spent an awful lot of time in the UMD defensive zone. The Dogs basically can't keep the puck down at the other end for more than 10-15 seconds. Anna Klein had a glorious opportunity in the slot without a defender within ten feet, and she missed the net.

The refs from the UMN/SLU game would be referring players in this game to the DA's office for felony prosecutions.

Oh, hey! We get audio this period! And the chyron has been changed to the correct visiting team, but it claims that we're in the first period.
