Seems like the ice is in bad shape. Players on both teams going down easily. Also looks like longer passes are having trouble keeping their pace.

1.9 lousy seconds left in the period and Thompson scores for UML to make it 4-1. To add injury to insult, Downing is hurt. Not sure what it is or how serious.

Meanwhile, I'm off the board because my son has just called from Denver to break the news that some lady has just smacked into his parked M3. Lovely.

Waiting for a follow up call, so no better place to be in the interim than here.

Really really hope that Downing is OK. Great player, and seems like a nice guy also.

He should be a nice guy. He's from Abbotsford. I went to my first 2 years of school in Abbotsford :). I live about 30 minutes from there now.

Evenin' all. Just got in, heard the game on the radio on the way home.

Downing takes the draw to open the 3rd, so he must be ok enough to play...

Yeah, he got into a scrum at the goal mouth. Thompson (of ULowell) was taking a whack at his left leg, so I can't really blame the kid for getting a little agitated.

I just say, kill off this penalty, put one more into the net, then kill the clock and gear up for tomorrow night. I hate Lowell games. Absolutely hate them.

Was the left leg the one he injured? For Thompson's future sake, I certainly hope not.
