I'm leaving work in North Andover around 12:30, swinging by Lowell to pick up my girlfriend, then heading straight up Route 3 to ManchVegas. If she is ready when I get home we should be at Murphy's around 2.

I'm getting jittery again... it must be close to Friday! Who do you all feel will step up this weekend? Someone that may surprise us?

I have the fear, hope, anticipation and anxiety thing going. After yrs of watching all the weird things that can happen I sort of go into suspended animation until it is over then I think I had a good time/ feel relieved.

Best part about this team is they all step up.

I hear ya on that one! Especially in the third. I don't know what happens in the lockerroom during the break, but it seems they light a fire under each other and BOOM there they go!
Lesser known fact is that UML is on of the best teams at scoring late into a period (last 5) in the country!
I don't know if that says anything for the rest of you.. But it tells me that we play until the final whistle

Anyone have the scoop on getting locker room hats? The bookstore is now saying "a few weeks". Supposedly, there will be championship gear at Murphy's on Friday...which is cool. But, I want the hat! If the bookstore doesn't have them, Murphy's won't.

Also, the bookstore hat image is NOT the same the players were wearing. The players were wearing ones with insignia on the FRONT and BACK. Bookstore image has nothing on the back.

I purchased through the HEA shop before I knew of anything else... still waiting of course (a couple of days my arse :mad:)

You're getting the hat on the right...the superior product...for $19.95!!!! The bookstore is going to be pawning off an inferior product at $28.00.

I just sent an email to Dana ... expressing my concern with the ongoing practices of UML bookstore selling "official" jerseys and now "locker room" hats which are of obvious inferior quality, have no logos that would require licensing fees ... yet they charge premium prices. Buy an offical jersey at any other league school and it comes with Hockey East insignia...not ours.

Am I over-reacting?

Maybe. But I agree... all replicas should come with some form of league crest. However, many of the other schools also dont do so... for instance my Sioux jersey doesn't say "WCHA" on it. I'd like it to, it looks better that way, but it doesn't.

In the end, however, the bookstore is responsible for merchandise and while I don't know how the bookstore cooperates (or doesn't) with the athletic department. I do know there is a committee of sorts. Drop me an e-mail... one of the (alum) lurkers is in on that comittee. I'll get you in contact.

I am not happy with the way the bookstore deals with merch... quality and availability. Of course I don't like our hard switch back to primary blue... IMO, I think we should go primary red where appropriate and blue where appropriate... but that's probably even a higher level of discussion.

That's for oders placed today. I'm sure yesterday's orders shipped today, and Tuesday's on Wednesday, etc.

It'd be nice to have for the weekend...but that's a good quality hat at a very good price....so, I wouldn't have any regrets having ordered that!
