Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Was too spent after 2 nights of craziness to go to Sportszone last night. How was the turnout? Did Norm or Marty or any players attend?

No Marty but Dana, Norm, and whole team was there along with Bob, Chaz, other team staff, marketing people, and lots of fans including easy button.

Don't know about sections yet but hopefully soon so people know where to buy and keep the UML fans relatively centered together.

Supposedly the Tsongas is swamped with ticket requests so this is a good sign for the weekend and hopefully everyone will turn out in large numbers again like the Garden.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Good luck to UML! I'll be rooting for you to come out of the Manchester regional. It was great meeting a lot of you in Bridgeport last year and it's cool to see both of our teams back in the tournament again just one year later. Here's to hoping for a Union/UML final in Pittsburgh! Your fellow hockey east foe, BC, doesn't seem to be taking Union very seriously, but we'll see what happens.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

I'm assuming (hoping) that a local TV channel picks up your game...any of you already inquire about that/have any info?

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

Lowell moves up to third in the now completely useless USCHO poll with 14 first place votes.

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

UML's NCCA Tournament page has posted that the Lowell ticket allotment is in Sections 109 (lower) and 209 (balcony). The seating diagram also notes the the AHL's Monarchs shoot twice at that end so hopefully since UML is the home team, that will be the case also this weekend.

So anyone buying tickets try to get close to those two sections to keep the Lowell fans as centralized as possible.

From the Tsongas Center Facebook page:

Can't make it to Manchester? Join your fellow River Hawks fans at the Tsongas Center in the Lowell Bank Pavilion for all the action. Doors open at 3:30 on Friday and game will be shown live on the scoreboard. The Hockey East Regular Season and Lamoriello tropies will also both be on display for fans to take photos

Admission and Parking is free. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Also, be sure to pick up your Hockey East Championship merchandise while you're there...stop by the Fan Shop location and get it while it lasts.

110 row Q... If one of us could get that other seat in the middle there that'll work

Re: UMass Lowell '12/'13 Season Thread III

I bought the last ticket in 119 this morning. Row E Seat 12. I'll let you guys know how you look from my side of the ice. Wave and I'll wave back.

There were varying amounts of tix in those areas but we seem to be getting a presence in that end.

I have the same opinion now that I had when I was asked who I wanted to face at the Garden: It simply doesn't matter. Put whoever you want in front of Lowell, they've proven that they're the best team in the country right now. They have the goalie, the defense, the playmakers and the coach. They're going to have the biggest group of supporters at the Regional.

Manchester is going to be a lot of fun, there's a lot of good hockey to be played.
I hope that UML enjoys the ride, and I hope that you make the FF (unless it's at UNH's expense.) However, bear in mind that in a single elimination game format, anything can happen, no matter who is playing/coaching/cheering.
