UMass at UNH 11/13/10

Re: UMass at UNH 11/13/10

2nd period underway....
By the way, sorry I didn't beer you until this morning, Chad (I signed off early last night).

I also feel a little silly giving all the detail I initially gave about today's football game -- hadn't realized it was so widely televised (and you folks were able to view it also).

Evening, all. Looks like our team is ahead. Good result last night. (Imagine, ALL 3 GOALS HAPPENED ON THE POWER PLAY. Halloween is over, 'Cats! Who's under those masks?)
I was in attendance last night; monitoring the boards tonight.

Never apologize about a win! It is ALWAYS welcome. And the odd morning beer never killed anyone. ;)

Re: UMass at UNH 11/13/10

Random stats of the night..... (ie bored betwn periods)..... UNH has scored 9 goals and given up 4 in league play (4 games). UMass-Lowell has scored 16 goals and given up 30 in league play (8 games).

I don't know... maybe it is just me.... but wow does that seem weird to have one team not only play so many fewer league games than the other but for one team to have given up more than 7x as many goals as another in the same league at the same early point of the season. Just odd.

Having not seen the team this year, only the results, I can only speculate at the type of team defense game Mr. Umile has the squad playing.
This is a good thing: it's the style of play that wins games in March.

UMass to the PP... UNH penalty for slashing... missed who it was on, though.

??? (Unknown reference; not listening to audio.)

Parkhurst was talking about UMass captain Paul Deighton's parents living in the far north of Canada. They live in Iqaluit, and he pronounced it EE kwal you it.
