not too much sympathy for the Minutemen, their first win at the Whitt, in the early 2000's, was with 7 guys on the ice in Overtime, so..... yeah, take that ;)

Good call... I have always thought those sorts of stats were dicey anyway, but this one should be a gem!

The giant donkey for UMass, Philips (6'6") gets tossed, seemed harsh of a penalty... Moses in the box

By the way, we were still owed something from refs united after today's pass interference call at the end of the Vill-UNH football game... Let's call it even now in the karma universe .... ;)

the box score has each player getting a 5minute penalty for grasping the facemask (w tf?) but PHillps had to leave the ice and Moses didn't. I don't get it..

Phillips got a game misconduct along with it.... not sure what transpired there, but what can ya do...
heading out to shoot the monarchs (along with the 30 fans in attendance), will check in later

The last time I saw a facemask penalty called in hockey may have been 3 or 4 years ago when someone grabbed Jacob Micflikier by the grille and jerked his head around. One of those things you only see in amateur hockey.

Random stats of the night..... (ie bored betwn periods)..... UNH has scored 9 goals and given up 4 in league play (4 games). UMass-Lowell has scored 16 goals and given up 30 in league play (8 games).

I don't know... maybe it is just me.... but wow does that seem weird to have one team not only play so many fewer league games than the other but for one team to have given up more than 7x as many goals as another in the same league at the same early point of the season. Just odd.
