Evening all! I see we had a good result last night. Let's finish off the sweep to pick up some points. It might be November, but those points add up by March, and it'll be nice to have home ice (even though it hasn't meant much the past few years :rolleyes:)

Different feel to this years team. When they lead by a goal I feel like they can win. I'm not waiting for the inevitable tying goal.

Great football game today -- came down to the last 11 seconds, with UNH pulling out the 31-24 upset of the national champs on the road by recovering a fumble at their own 6 yard line! Sacked the QB and stripped him -- awesome play.

We almost got hosed -- absurb pass interference call on a totally uncatchable ball set up Villanova with a first and goal on our 5, with under a minute to play...

Sislo on a rebound from Thompson, UNH GOOOOOOOOAL! 1-0 CATS!!!! And a PP to boot. Interesting new rule, let's take advantage.

Great hustle by Thompson on the goal, took on two defenders, got a decent shot off, drew the penalty and Sislo blasted it into the empty net. Love the new rule where they have to serve the penalty even after a delayed penalty :)

Hey, kids! Just picked up pizza and ready for the game only to see the Cats up 1-0 already! I could seriously get used to this!!

There were 2 of those pass INT's that went against the Cats today. Not a very well coached game by McDonnell when the Cats got the big lead too. That guy is a total mystery to me.

UMass ties it 1-1 on a garbage goal, puck loose in the crease and poked in. 2 sec left in the 4 on 4 and then a power play for UMass

Caught the game on CSN, I was awful nervous on that last drive, but great stand at the goal line (and yes, that WAS a garbage call for PI) to clinch it. Hopefully we finish off Towson next week and find our way into the NCAA's again.

When I was in NYC I saw Towson play Columbia. Columbia won fairly easily and they are not very good. If UNH doesn't win that game, may as well fold the program up and forget about it.

I was lucky enough to be able to watch it on TV -- even the home announcers were scratching their heads on the key call at the end. Plus both teams took unsportsmanlike conduct penalties at key points in the final quarter -- very undisciplined.
