Currently NU 4, Umass 1 3:35 into the 3rd.

Watching from Gonu.tv, and this seems like a great game so far. Both teams are playing some solid hockey, but NU has taken advantage of some great opportunities. NU's on fire, especially Rawlings and Vrolyk.

Penalty called on Ellement for hooking with Silva already in the box. Umass with the two man advantage for about a minute.

Bit of a fight broke out. Punches thrown, and of course the camera turns away so the at-home fans can't see it... Tuckerman gets a minor, Lecomte gets to take an early shower.

Penalty coming up on Northeastern, but Hobbs scores on his own rebound.

NU 5, Umass 2

Tuckerman still in the box for 42 seconds, then NU gets 3 minutes on Lecomte's 5-minute.


Edit: Marcou with the assist on the Hobbs goal. Not his own rebound like I originally said.

NU Goal by Wade MacLeod. His 2nd PP goal of the game. Vermeersch and Newton get the assists.

NU 6, Umass 2 - 2 minutes left on the 5 minute.

Will Ortiz scores on a shot that Rawlings really should have blocked. Nice assist by Wellman on the shorty.

NU 6, Umass 3. Five goals in this period so far. 5 to go in the 3rd.

Umass getting a bit too aggressive, and not in a good way. Nolet to the box for cross checking.

NU with the two man advantage.
