Re: UMaine Hockey 2014-15: The Road from Alfond to Boston

I love playing UMass 4 times per year!

does anyone know whether the Mullins MIGHT sell out (and therefore I would need to order tix in advance for tonight's game?) and

does anyone around Boston have any extras that they need to get rid of?

Thanks

yes... I am a masochist

I just bought three and the graphic indicated there were still lots of tickets available. In all my times there (including playoffs) I have never seen the seats full.

I'm hoping that they can start scheduling UMass and UVM 6 times each next season.......that should fill up the OOC schedule.

Red just said in the pregame interview he isn't a big fan of them. I think they were scheduled before he came on board. They are better than games against AIC, Bentley, or a Canadian team.

Is it me or is Hannigan less than enthused about calling this game.

I'm watching the UMass broadcast and the atmosphere is pretty uninspiring. I can't imagine there are more than maybe 1,000 people there. Hopefully the second period is a little more exciting.

Dan sounds like he wants to shoot himself. No Larry to keep him company.

Renouf puts Maine up 1-0 on a rebound of a Schurhamer shot. 4:22 of the second.

$200k a year needs to be evaluated...

I m pretty sure most of us would have the same record and the same recruits at this point.

I'm pretty confident Red has little chance to get this ship righted this season

Who would you replace him with? I can't imagine he had much money to play with last year where Maine only lost J. Swavely, O'Conner, and Anthoine for skaters. Hopefully Red doesn't bring Norman back for a fifth year and also moves Campbell along and replaces them with guys who are productive. A lot of his recruits are so young it is going to be five years or so before we know if they are any good. Looking back I think the school made a huge mistake taking so long to hire a coach. Red should have been in place six weeks earlier than when he was hired. Why they took so long is beyond me.

Re: UMaine Hockey 2014-15: The Road from Alfond to Boston

Outshooting a team 23-8 in their building at one point and then losing is the most Red road thing thats happened yet.

Its over. Its been over for a while but now its really over

Or next. Or ever.
Not quite that far yet. We all knew the team was down, maybe we didn't realize how far. There are ZERO scorers on this team. Until that changes..............
