Why would he not show up for another year? Is it an academic issue or something else?

Nothing to do with academics. Fall 2018 was always the preferred target year. If Maine didn't receive commits for this coming fall he was going to be bumped up.

No. For quite some time now he has been in the fall 2018 class. I have not heard if he is playing another year at Notre Dame or if he is moving to Dubuque.

It's now four D-men after the late pickup of Veli-Matti Tiuraniemi
According to the BDN Maine only has four forwards and three dmen coming in. Did they cut some kids loose?
This isn't really recruiting related, but is Doherty not coming back?

This is what I understood for incoming recruits: The Forwards have Emil Westerlund, Adrain Holesinky, Eduards Tralmak....and also included awhile back but some are saying he will not be coming to Maine until 2018, Adam Dawe....The Defenseman have Brady Keeper, Cam Spicer, Alexis Binner and Veli-Matti Tiuraniemi....and one Goaltender in Jeremy Swayman.

Canon Pieper (QU) and Tim Doherty (Brown) are suppose to be coming in also after sitting out a year. Take it for what its worth as things seem to change right up to September.According to the BDN Maine only has four forwards and three dmen coming in. Did they cut some kids loose?

Looks like Breen is attending New Hampton school in NH which is a college prep school. Hopefully he will eventually make his way to Orono.

BDN talked about recent NLI's with no mention of previous NLI's or non athletic scholarship players. As of now Doherty is still a bear.

NHL Development/Prospect Camp rosters have started coming out this week. Camps run for a hand full of days and take place over the next month. As of this post I have only seen 15 rosters of the, now, 31 NHL teams. Below are roster invites for UMaine recruits/players. Drafted players not listed.

Steve Mundinger - NY Islanders
Also,
Harry Roy and Max Sasson are currently participating in USA Hockey's Select 17 (2000's) development camp. Select 16 rosters will be announced shortly, of which, Bogdanovich and Capone are eligible.
NHL Development/Prospect Camp rosters have started coming out this week. Camps run for a hand full of days and take place over the next month. As of this post I have only seen 15 rosters of the, now, 31 NHL teams. Below are roster invites for UMaine recruits/players. Drafted players not listed.
