Re: UMaine Black Bears, 2nd verse same as the first 2016-2017

Eduards Tralmarks finished his USHL playoff tear in dramatic fashion, scoring the tying goal for Chicago, which won in OT to take the series in five games.

Tralmarks finished the playoffs with 10 goals, tying a league playoff record and earning MVP honors.

Can't wait to see him in October

Red stated that next season's team would win Hockey East.

A very bold prediction. I wouldn't be shocked as I really don't rate hockey east at all next year, but certainly not something I am expecting. It definitely wouldn't be a Leicester City type of surprise.

A Bold move for Maine would be a .500 season/not counting the Playoffs in Hockey East...say 15-15-4 and maybe a 7th or more likely 8th place finish in Hockey East Reg. Season play.

THANKS to the VET's, Men and Women...in the past the present and future...so that we can talk hockey free and able to do whatever we like...

Re: UMaine Black Bears, 2nd verse same as the first 2016-2017

Anyone have any updates on captains, schedule, or player departures? Seems like everything is behind schedule this year. We're about a week away from the halfway point of the offseason.

In terms of schedule, considering y'all now don't have a weekend in common with RPI, that is likely causing a lot of the problems from that standpoint.

Re: UMaine Black Bears, 2nd verse same as the first 2016-2017

It was reported, on the schedules thread, that the Brown game moves to January 8th. With that, I think the schedule will finally be released sometime this upcoming week. I have a good feeling as to when the RPI return series will be (during that now open weekend around New Years; it's possible I could be wrong, but if they went through the trouble to move the Brown game I'm likely not); I'm not sure about the 3rd UNH game, though.

Apparently Maine is going to play at UNH on a Wednesday. Very disappointing news if true. It seems like the powers that be want to run the sport into the ground.
