Football team lost to uhn again. I'm shocked at that.

Maine played undisciplined football. Two penalties on the same play early in the game probably cost Maine some points. Their defense played well at times, but could not stop UHN late in the game. I don't understand why Maine didn't use their time outs to stop the clock. When Maine got the ball back after UHN scored the winning field goal there was no time left. That's something like 6 or 7 straight wins over Maine.

I was worried about this game and then when UNH lost their starting QB I was pretty sure they were going to lose. Great road win but Maine put up a good fight!

Uhn owns Maine in football

Clock mis-management was certainly a factor. But Collins' inexcusable pick-six into triple coverage came back to bite Maine in the ashcan.

A fun team to watch, though. One win away from the NCAAs, but the lack of even a decent kicking game would have likely meant a one and done.

Maine has Sunday talent here and there. Bring in a toe and a QB and next year will be fun, too.

Yes. Good analysis. Maine would probably not have won in the first round, but it would have given them the experience.

Vancouver has signed Ben Hutton to a 2 year contract extension, beginning in 2017-18 he will make $2.8 million per season.

Must win game tonight, no disrespect to Brown but Maine shouldn't have any trouble with them.

Whats the odds they handle them easily, I'd say really low playing in Portland.

Was it still $40 a seat there?

(Seems to me that a game between PW 30-something and a dead-last might have been poorly attended, otherwise.)

Not sure about walk up but online I think it was 30 for the ticket and then 12 bucks for ticket master.

Didn't listen at all, glad they handled Brown :) 2-1 after 2?, guess they finally wore them down.

This was a good win mentally for this young team. They had to beat Brown by a substantial margin and they did. They were "supposed" to beat a rather weak Brown team by several goals and they did. That said, it took too long to do so. Brown had no business being down only 2-1 after 2. Maine was lackluster in the first, being outshot badly late in the first. Rob was pretty good but at least half of Brown's shots were right at him between the numbers. Robbins played a very good game. The kind of game he's capable of playing consistently. Maine could have, but did not consistently, out-skate an inferior team.

FWIW, Herner does have a 19 game NCAA issued suspension. He will play 2nd semester.

So Herner will be able to play after the Holidays, do you think he has the chance to crack the D pairings.? And also Robin Hoglund the Swede who transferred from Minnesota will also be able to play....BUT what has ever happen to Tim Doherty situation...been pretty quiet on that front...is he playing this year or is his status in limbo.?

I noticed this last week but I think Maine is actually better when the other team has a lot of the possession and Maine can hit them on the counter. If Maine can split next weekend and sweep AIC they will finish .500 at the end of the semester which I'm sure most of us would be happy with.

Good info on Herner. Hopefully him and Hoglund can make a contribution down the stretch.

If they get to .500 at Christmas break it will be great. Cant wait to see Herner play

Doherty also has to serve a suspension of some length. The geniuses at the NCAA have still not rendered a final decision on him yet. These are the same brainwaves who made North Dakota drop the "Fighting Sioux". How did that go for them.....
