It's a great sign! And is it too hard not to laugh at the Mildkitties being in the basement of these rankings?
 
You suppose this new lounge in the alfond their making from the empty boxes they cant sell will include beer?

I'm sure it will. The luxury boxes were good seats until they put the netting up. Who wants to spend tons of money to sit behind that?

gave up my season tickets. I have too much going on now to make the drive twice a weekend, and the fact that the team has been pretty terrible wasn't particularly motivating. I'll grab a couple single game tickets.

I did the same, killed me but wasn't interested enough to drive twice a weekend to orono.

Yeh, hate the netting, would rather dodge pucks.
Not sure it would be a great idea to sell beer at the hockey. A group of disgruntled drunk hockey fans???

Disgruntled drunk hockey fans = Bruins fans at TD Garden at the end of the last two seasons

Maybe someone out there can say if the Coaching Staff and the NCAA have stated that incoming recruit goaltender Tyler Johnson has to sit out this season..? I may have missed it being stated...I do know that I really didn't think Maine would be allowed to have Johnson for the 2016-17 season, the NCAA very rarely goes in that direction. But any type of info would be welcomed. Thanks.

I'm thinking nothing has been released by the University regarding Johnson at this point, and with it already being mid-August, it'd be safe to assume we won't be seeing him until next fall. Red is typically very Belichick-like regarding stuff like this anyways.

Yes indeed...figured I may have missed it. The only thing is the NCAA must of decided by now.

Im also curious about this and find the silence interesting. Maybe still pending with ncaa??
Do you suppose he will come this year and just practice or stay where he is? Probably come here 2017.

MY understanding is he is @ Maine now, and "IF" the NCAA rules against him he has to be enrolled and sit out one season and then will have 3 years after to play hockey @ UMaine.

Would be a question for the AD or any other administrator in that case

The NC$$ sucks. Like you, I can't blame the kid for wanting to play. Looks like adding a goaltender is the top priority for the staff come the 2017 recruiting class
