UMaine '26-'27: The Bridge On the River Stillwater

Give us a reason to cheer
Sorry, but in my time there we were 32-1-3 at Alfond and the arena was described as "the world's coldest mausoleum" and a "mortician's dream come true: so many lifeless bodies in one place." The energy has always come from the student section.

Empty net makes it 3-1.

Maine challenging for a highstick. That will probably be overturned. 2-1 still.
Still under review. The UMass assistant sure seems convinced it was a highstick.

No goal.

Before the renovation in 91-92 it was insane. I had a friend staying in Dunn Hall. There were times he could hear the crowd from Alfond all the way over there. After the renovations things changed.

Just incredible...

47 shots and 1 goal. So frustrating. Our D looks pretty solid but our offensive chemistry is horrendous. I havn't seen a team struggle to move the puck up the ice this much before. There were a few times where a defenseman would lose their forechecker, make a great pass up the ice to the forward and then he would pass it to his wingers feet. SMH. I feel bad for the defensive unit.

The should have demo'd Alfond and started fresh......it's the fans that make the atmosphere.....not the building. On a side note.....I hate streaming games from Alfond....weird angles, weird lighting. The place looks dumpy on the screen. and they have muffled the crowd noise so all you hear is Mannix.....yuck.

And the lighting is a choice. It's a filter of some sort. Midway through the third my screen pixelated and suddenly the dark grey picture was bright! I could see clearly! It was as bright as my picture from the Cornell game. But then the screen reset and went back to the darkness...
