UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Maine 5-0 Fowler bangs home a rebound of a spectacular first save on what looked like a sure goal on a point blank shot by Marques one timed off a centering pass on power play.
 
Vermont goalie Wright was pulled.

I actually don’t think he played that bad. But you might need to pull him to keep him from getting physiological damage.
 
Horrible penalty by Vermont ends the UVM power play early. Not going to get back in the game committing offensive zone penalties on the power play.
 
Maine with a tennis score but it is being challenged for offside.

Going to be waved off. They are probably checking to see where to set the clock.

Wow. It stands. Guess they couldn't reverse it because it wasn't conclusive.

Maine wins the first set 6-Love.
 
When this team is on, they might be the best team in the country, When they aren't...

I like that it is 7-0 and guys are still playing like it is tied. Just an easy flip to center ice, a good forecheck, battling in the corners... Now they need to work on doing that again tomorrow night.

What he likely wanted to say… “We thoroughly kicked their ass.”
 
Josh is finally having some magic. Marques has such a right place at the right time knack. Albin finally looked calm and poised, but still getting nervous and flopping a bit. Hopefully tonight gave some confidence though to carry through. I wonder what finally clicked? I thought Sully also looked amazing - like a serious playmaker w serious vision and reflexes and speed tonight. D is coming along too…

I feel a bit bad for Mannix cause he just gets too excited and it is annoying when he gets so loud. Has a high pitch piercing voice at times. Definitely miss Hannigan, he was exceptional.

Maybe they can use filters on Mannix to compress the high pitch moments and distort the frequency down so soften that piercing high pitch transitions. Mannix has a face for radio but the voice for newspaper yet somehow got the job.

Yes there has to be something they can do about the pitch lol. He’s a great announcer and is passionate and intense and well/researched and deserves every bit of the job

Any ideas anyone why Locmelis, Suniev, and O’Hara left last yr? It seemed like a great culture with massive potential for this year
