Those that listened to Barr's postgame pressers should not be remotely surprised that this whole roster is going to be turned over. Next year will certainly be a rebuilding / retooling year. Immediately signaled by Nadeau & Frank signing. Marques is gone, would bet Lipinski will be next. Poirier will be dependent on whether he bought into what Ben was selling or not.

Do you have inside knowledge, or are you reacting to a player that was seemingly in the doghouse for parts of the year? This is the new age of college hockey.
Don't disagree, but not good. As I said the other day, it all starts at the top, and I'm not convinced yet the current coaching staff has the tools it takes.
I remember he was the last guy to committ in the offseason last year, and seemed to be waffling between us and UConn, so maybe he got some buyers remorse and is out of here? Also, the portal dosen't even officially open until after the national championship, so I think this means that Marques got his scholarship cut?

Those that are complaining certainly would've been upset if Ben Barr had been hired by Minnesota right? Just be consistent one time. Good grief.

yes and no for some probably. I personally didn't feel that Barr had the resume to warrant consideration, but given who was selected, maybe he did.
Between this news and Djurasevic/Nadeau leaving early for minor league deals, it certainly seems like we are shaping up to see a whole lot of news on 4/12 once the portal officially opens. Maybe the huge exodus we feared is coming to pass this year. They have a lot of work cut out for them going forward to keep the team competitive.

Barr seems like a coach that would do well at one of the blue blood programs with a lot of NIL/player pay. He also looks the part but I’m not sure he has the mentality to “coach up” players or bring the “it” factor like Shawn Walsh had. I guess we will find out soon what he is made of….another season of regression and I think that he really faces a rising tide of people questioning if he is the right guy to lead Maine.
