UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Rousseau doing well to keep it tied. Man, we just can’t understand the concept that when you are close to YOUR OWN net get it out on the boards and out of the fucking zone. Instead we hold the puck with indecision resulting in turnover and two more grade A shots against. WTF

Gerrior collects puck off the left half boards, tips to Peterson who wheels and snipes with a wrister.

Maine 7-1

Before I can even type this Lindenwood Fletcher scores.

Maine 7-2

I guess we owe Drew an apology, he called this result and was spot on.

This was the best they've looked all season, by a decent margin. I thought the effort level was high both nights. Hopefully this can be the start of the late winning streak I predicted a few times previously.

Pretty tough schedule ahead. Going .500 over the next 10 would be a decent result.

I've really liked Gerrior's play this year. I remember seeing him described as a "bulldog" in scouting reports and I think that's accurate. Kid always seems to bring it.
His nickname in juniors was The Generator for similar reasons

Maine did a nice job tamping doing a usually potent Lindenwood offense. no one ever accused the Lions of being able to keep pucks out of their own net, but they can score with the best of them on most nights. Rise of the Rooster!!!

In other news, Dartmouth is no longer undefeated thanks to UNH in OT, which I'm pretty sure does something good for the whole conference's NPI

Great to see them play two decent games in a row. Hopefully a sign of things to come. I liked the freshman line. I wish Nadeau would shoot the puck sometimes. He had a few chances tonight in the high slot and elected to try and dangle 2-3 players rather than putting it on net. Rousseau looked solid and made the saves he had to.

I’m not getting too excited yet, they looked great against a clearly inferior team.
