Huskies are 4-0 in their last 4 league games. Maine is unbeaten at home this year. Factor in the bad blood that surfaced between coaches after their last game in CT and this weekend sets up to be a war.
Bad blood between Red and Cav? What happened? I watched that game and don't really remember anything like that.

Heard it was assistants, recruiting battle/issue.

According to Walrus (I didn't see it). one of the UConn assistant coaches gave Gendron "the bird" after the 1/15/2020 game.
I’m going on hearsay as well, but I believe there was a shove between assistants. Things calmed down, but there’s no love lost between these two programs. Should be an intense weekend.

If this happened, wouldn't the league hand out a reprimand or two?
Or maybe they did not publicly.

Young skilled team coming together at the right time.
I always have thought that Cavanaugh would get UConn to Boston before Gendron got Maine there. Each coach was hired at the same time. If UConn can win or tie tomorrow night they are a step closer to the Garden. Good players, especially the one from Maine tonight.![]()
