They aren't based on one series. But we played last weekend and lost both of those games. So if you add in this weekends games, that would make two series that we have played. So if I look at those four games, and we have lost more of them than we have won, and two of those games were against arguably the worst team in Division I hockey, that would give me reason to suspect that the likelihood of this team playing into late-March is not as good as I suspected.

Also, using the "brand new goalie" excuse is a cop-out. If the coach thinks that starting Joe Phillippi might cost us the game, he shouldn't throw him out there. Non-conference games do count.

I am picking Any Other Result. The team looked decent, if still bottom-dweller in D1, last weekend at the VBC.
Way *too many* penalties to kill and that may make the difference. Just as it did between Friday and Saturday.

Nic Dowd's hometown team comes into town and I really hope SCSU reciprocates with a two-game series in their barn next year. Not a neutral site series, two real home games for the Chargers.

I should have checked this before now. Since we've been out of a league, we don't see a lot of series-specific topics.

I can't be for certain, but I've been told that SCSU is coming next year, and I know that will be on our ice and not one of these "home" series in Nashville.

It's, uh, not going so well for us tonight.

I have heard good things about the trip. I don't think that we'll know before January. There's a word for that, and it's "agonizing".

Motzko confirmed we are going down there next year.
He commented on his coaches show about Dowd being able to play at home as a senior.

Lets just score that many goals the rest of the season and we should be good to go. ;)

Phillippi looked pretty shaky to me. Didn't seem like he saw the puck real well and his rebound control was terrible. Kicked out a lot of rebounds right to the middle, but luckily a Husky player was there to pick it up. I'm sure a lot of that is not having played a meaningful game in quite awhile. It will be interesting to see how he plays in his next start now that he got the first one under his belt.

Some things we have to work on obvously but that was a pretty good performance last night.
Phillippi played fine for his first game in more than a year and a half.
Hopefully Faragher can bounce back tonight.
Congrats to Drew on his 100th point and to Prow and Brodzinski for their first career goals.

For those who were at the game, how bad was the defense for allowing 3 PPG? Or were they really good goals?

UAH plays hard but they just don't have the skill.
Whole team came to play tonight, Faragher really wasn't tested.
I'm really impressed with this group of freshmen through 4 games.
