Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

Newby here. Have a freshman student going to UAH so have an excuse to get excited about college hockey. Never been to a UAH game but it looks like a young team with a number of sophomores getting significant minutes last year as freshmen? Hoping this years freshman class is pretty solid as well so maybe surprise some people and be solid a year or two down the road?
Let's hope so.

Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

If any UAH fans makes the trip to LSSU in mid February, the February 15th game will be played in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in Canada at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

Welcome to UAH! Yes, this freshman class looks like it could be one of the best we've had in a while in terms of recruiting rankings. Hopefully we'll start putting some pressure on other teams and get our scoring up.

Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

No. You will get WCHA schools and any other road NC schools that use Flo, which I think is a null set this year.

Correct...This weekend's games at UMass Lowell will be free on CBS SportsLive:

The other two non-conference road series at Omaha next week and at North Dakota just after New Year's would be on NCHC.tv, which is subscription.

Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

Tough weekend for UAH. I assume Lowell will visit Huntsville next season and I hope to make another trip down there. The best of luck to the Chargers going forward.

I believe that is the case, as well as this week's opponent Omaha coming to Huntsville next year as well.

Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

Here's hoping for wins this weekend! I will be missing my 15th and 16th straight home games due to work. Ugh.

Re: UAH Hockey 2019-20

I missed these two as well. I fear that I didn't miss much other than misery.

It's time for a change. The slow starts don't seem to be ending.

2019-20: 0-9-1
2018-19: 0-10-0
2017-18: 3-6-1 (beat Tech on the road for the first time ... ever? ... beat ASU on the road and Anchorage at home)
2016-17: 2-7-1 (swept Ferris on the road to start the season, a false hope for a 9-20-3 result)
2015-16: 3-6-1 (beat Connecticut at home, swept Lake State on the road during Whitten's first season)
2014-15: 1-7-2 (beat Air Force on the road)
2013-14: 0-10-0

In seventy opening games to seasons, the Chargers have won nine contests.

Nine.

I know that the support from Dr. Brophy was abysmal at best. I know that the coaching staff is funded a bit like Washington's troops at Valley Forge. But at some point, people are going to wonder if it'll ever turn around.

We need more institutional support in terms of getting that multi-sport facility on the SE side of campus. We need more booster support to keep the wheels greased. But the needs probably don't stop there.

I thought they played hard and it looks like there is more fans in the seats these days. All the teams in the league have taken a step forward and UAA is no different.
