Looks like this weekend will be the final meeting of any independent teams for the foreseeable future.

The Chargers are back in action for the first time in nearly a month after beating ACHA Oklahoma 4-0 and 3-1 on Jan. 11/12.

The Nittany Lions took two last weekend from the Icers' long time ACHA nemesis Ohio.

There is a hockey history between the two schools going back to the club days.

I say we find a trophy for the weekend winner. :)

The Nittany Lions swept the weekend series with a 4-0 shutout on Friday and a 4-3 nailbiter on Saturday. Both games were rather "spirited" to say the least.

The students had some fun with #IndependentLeagueMegaBowl :D

I'm sorry that I didn't step over here while it was going on. Who came up with the Independent League Megabowl stuff? The first I saw of it was our players on Twitter. I think it's hilarious.
