UAA @ tUMD: October 22nd and 23rd - The Start of WCHA Play

Re: UAA @ tUMD: October 22nd and 23rd - The Start of WCHA Play

If its necessary to make fun of a city for it not to be boring I have two words and a link for you about Duluth: Seaway Hotel and this.

That being said, Duluth doesn't need to be on the Iron Range because its at the head of the LARGEST LAKE IN THE WORLD. If you don't enjoy the city you've either never been here or don't enjoy being outside.:p

Just like texas bragging with out all the facts :D and yes I have been there.
The Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world at 143,244 square miles. Though it is saltwater, it is land-locked. The largest freshwater lake in the world is Lake Superior at 31,700 square miles. Lake Baical in Russia has the largest freshwater volume in the world at 23,600 km3 (5,700 cu mi), and is also the deepest at 5,370 ft. (Deeper than the Caspian.)
The Caspian Sea is connsidered to be the largest lake on Earth, but is salt water. The largest fresh water lake is Lake Superior which borders the USA and Canada (and is part of the Great Lakes). (The Caspian Sea borders Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Azerbaljan and Turkmenistan.

Those UMD boys will be out too late on Friday night at Grandmas Sports Garden after their Seawolves bashing to be up for the game on Saturday night. I predict a split.

If they're at tGarden on Friday, they'll be easy to spot. As the only people in the building.

Okay, whatever, freshwater lake, you missed my point. The lake is big and pretty, that's all.:)

If that shirt is produced, I will buy it.

I would wager that a UMD frat or another group like the Penalty Box could turn a good profit from selling a shirt like that. Just saying. ;-)

Yes. I have never been to Duluth. Perhaps you should check my blog for what I say about the WCHA cities that I have spent time in. I assure you, Duluth gets a relatively gentle touch from me.

As for "being outside" ... um I live in Alaska. Anyone that lives here and doesn't enjoy getting outside lives in the completely wrong place. So yeah ... I like "being outside".

UMD frat? Is there such a thing?

UMD snuck a win out last night! UAA can flat out play.

Who made that? Pretty awesome!

Yup Lake Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world by surface area.

I believe UND is one of the top binge drinking schools. I had no idea Superior/Duluth area was so high on the list. I blame Superior and Wisconsin :p

Yes we have like six. And they are all stupid :)

UMD did sneak out a win and I will take it. UAA had a great first period, but UMD has more control of the game in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Hoping for tUMD to pull out another win tonight. Oh yes it would be nice if UMD could not give up the first goal of the game again! It has happened in all but one of our games.

Very shocked by how UAA played... they didn't look like a bottom half team I wouldn't be surprised if they compete for home ice but its still early so we will see. Will Crandall get the start today?

Re: UAA @ tUMD: October 22nd and 23rd - The Start of WCHA Play

UAA is tough to play against this year. UND and UMD have both found that out already.
As expected, UMD looks to be very good this season. Man can they score some goals...

Gee, really? What tipped you off? The fact that Grand Forks is #2 on the list?

I generally expect to lose to UAA and MTU, and to win the rest of the season.

I miss Duluth and that delicious water you can drink straight
