UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

Matt’s contract did start on July 1st, that's true, but there has not been any Meet and Greet announced because he isn't here yet. He's had a lot on his plate and he needs to get his family here and get settled. It seems to me that it took Shyiak a while to get settled before the Meet and Greet was held at O'mally's on the Green. I’m sure UAA will do some sort of press conference when Matt gets here, and a Meet and Greet at some point this summer.

We are all anxious to meet him and hear what he has to say, but lets give he and his family some breathing room people.
I said that a week or two ago.
I'm asking for ideas and planning.

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

Sorry, I missed it. What was the post number so I can read what you had to say?
cant find it on this thread so it was on the other thread. You posted frequently on that thread so wherever it was I'm pretty sure it was seen. Don't really want to play games, and don't really care who said what when, just want to further and promote Seawolf hockey as I'm sure is your intention also.
Basicly said give the guy some time, full plate, family matters, etc.
Irrelevant to comeing up with some ideas and planning to get Matt out into the public which is what was asked in my post. The post did not have any immediacy for rushing anything.
Just looking for ideas.
It's a great day to be a Seawolf!

Thanks for clarifying, thought I was going crazy there. I'm sure UAA will be putting together something. Even if we came up with some ideas who knows if they would want to implement them? I'll let them handle things. Still anxious to hear who the next AD will be.

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

UAA Coach Matt Thomas has his first recruit and the player is from Anchorage. Also he will be in town next week. Not sure if UAA is planning a meet and greet yet, but they are holding a press conference.

Coach Thomas is hitting the ground running......Good for you coach!!!

I believe this is a good sign.

Also a good article from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs website

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

need to bump this up.......would like to hear more from others about Coach Thomas' new recruit and the presser sometime this week

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

The press conference is tommorow for coach Thomas. Media only. Don't know about a meet n greet for fans yet.

On another note, Matt bailey and Derek docken are both at NHL development camps (bailey at Winnipeg and docken at Boston)

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

Coach Thomas indicated that we would have a winning season in year 1! Did I mis understand this?

Dang, I missed it! They talked about the press conference on the late news last night, but didn't mention it was being streamed. I don't suppose there is a link to listen to it? Is Thomas here yet, or was this done long distance?
