UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Hayden is fast, but he's not the sniper (yet) his brother was. He did draw a penalty shot in tonights game against Merrimack, but the wonderful UA_ camera guys only showed us a picture of center ice. Hayden didn't score but I would have liked to have seen it.

Evan was such a hustler and absolutely top notch on the pk

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Well it looks like we will be playing a very angry Sioux (i know they're not anymore but still) squad that got bested by Uaf this weekend. Hope the guys put up a much better perfomance than friday, if we get one point from them this weekend I'll be happy

GO WOLVES

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

I would be happy with 1 point as well, but the optimist in me is hoping for a tie or better yet 3 points. I'm worried but yet hopeful that Shyiak and
crew will have learned what went wrong Friday and will be implementing a strategy shift. I did read that Hakstol will be implementing
different lines this weekend due to having most of his quad back in action, so the Seawolves should expect a different (although still very dangerous)
team this Friday.

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Do you guys have any plans to continue Donald's blog?

There's been talk between the regular readers of his blog to pick up where Donald left off and
take on the duties of updating it/writing posts in his absence but nothing has really come
of it yet. To be honest without Donald writing it I'm not sure it would have the same appeal.
Supposedly he will be writing a final post but again I don't know if/when that will happen. As it
stands there is a huge void in the Seawolves blogosphere that is ripe for the picking.

This will be the first time in about 7 years that a blog post hasn't been put up for the first WCHA
game of the season. I wish UAA hadn't angered Donald because now all of us Seawolves fans who
enjoyed his blog get to suffer.

I think it was probably a combination of things that made him stop. I can't imagine putting a significant amount of effort into covering a team you never get to see. I realize they are all online but it's not the same.

That would make him a lot like a DU fan... Never go to games just talk about them online...

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Thanks for the lineup, seawolfpunk. Glad to see that Allen will be back in action tonight on the first line with Baily and Kwas.. I liked what I saw saw
from last weekend when I was at the Carlson (well Saturday night anyways).

Well glad to see we got 1 point out of the weekend.

Anyone know why Quinn Sproule was not in the lineup on saturday?

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

I believe Haider said he had hurt his shoulder.

I hope its not too serious, He's been one of our most consistent players the past few years on the blue line, and I'd really like to see him & Corbin Karl paired together, they gelled really well last year.

Re: UAA Seawolves 2012-2013 Thread "the Last Hurrah"

Few thoughts on our past weekend against Minnesota

1. Gundy is our #1 goalie, the team seems to play a lot better with him in net.

2. Special teams still need a ton of work, We seem to play well 5x5 though

Glad we got a point out of them now the boys need to heal up and get ready for Bemidji state.

GO Seawolves
