Couple minutes left in the first, 0-0. MN not getting a lot of shooting opps, but when they do, AUGH.

0 - 0 at the 1st intermission. SOG 7-5 UAA. Can't say I'm impressed with the Gpophers' effort so far.

End of 1, 0-0.
Minnesota getting few opportunities, and the ones they get Kamal stands on his head or the Gophers choke.

I hope that MN doesn't defeat themselves with frustration.

To be fair UAA is playing much different tonight than they did in the 1st period last night.

Gophers need to stay patient

A decent first period for the Seawolves after getting pasted last night. They kept the play to the outside when they didn't have possession and countered reasonably a couple of times after turnovers. They aren't flat tonight which is a good sign. Leinweber was the periods best player for UAA I thought. Good to see him return to the lineup tonight.

I thought they "asserted" themselves finally ... not hugely but they played much better than at any point last night.
