Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Kind of hard to believe but Doyle has a piece in this mornings paper on the Gundy thing where he also mentions Coach and the Seawolves without a negative anywhere in it. And to top that not even a negative undertone. Way to go Doyle!

Hope Rob gets a shot at it!
I'm sure he'll do himself and the Seawolves proud.
All the good on Gundy.

That was a fun article to read. I hope it's the beginning of good things for Gundy. It sure is nice to have so many UAA hockey alumni in town.

Everyone keeping up with the Stanley Cup playoffs? Go Rangers!!! ;)

I am from Los Angeles, CA, (as you know), so I got to go with the Kings!

Congrats to Rob for sure.

As for Doyle, yes, it was a good article from him, but then again, he IS writing about his beloved Aces.

Hehe. I grew up in upstate NY, but I lived in Sacramento and Isla Vista CA. too, but I'm still rooting for the Rangers. Wanna wager on the outcome? ;)

Sounds like four good players http://www.goseawolves.com/ViewArti...73&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209515990&DB_OEM_ID=13400
- looking forward to seeing them in action.
5 seniors graduated this spring.
Bring in these 4 players along with the other players coming in and it adds up to??????
I never was a math major.
When Coach came in he intimated that the players who could make the team better for the 2014/2015 season and beyond would be the ones playing for the team and the remaining guys would have to pursue other interests.
Anyone heard of any players making other plans?

The total is 7 incoming new players. It is normal to lose a player or two to grades, other plans, injuries, etc. Don't see this as a big shake up in the line up.- looking forward to seeing them in action.

There is one guy with a nagging injury. He really should have surgery but he'd miss this next season and word is he chose not to have the surgery. Maybe he's one who the coach thinks won't be playing? Or maybe in the past couple of months he did decide to go the surgery route and is one player who won't be available. Who knows. But I trust the coach.

Thanks with the math help!

Man, I am chomping at the bit to hear about the new scoreboard going in at the Sully now that the Aces finished their amazing season. Congrats to the Aces for winning the Kelley Cup.

I guess I hope the Aces contribute in sprucing up the Sullivan since it is their home arena too! They have been National Champions like 3 times now, shouldn't they play in a beautiful venue too?

What bothers me about this article is that there is no mention of Christian Weidauer, and he looked like an elite recruit. Weidauer is a 93 and was supposed to join the team this fall. He was on scholarship and signed his LOI. There are also articles stating that Anthony Conti is joining UAA this fall, but he's very young and it looks like he won't be joining UAA until 2015-2016.

Anyone know anything about Weidauer? I found it interesting that in November of 2011 he verbally committed to play for Niagara.

I've been refraining from mentioning this. Weidauer seriously looked like the best recruit of the bunch. And with no mention, it's worrisome. Perhaps, whatever issues kept him from Niagara are keeping him from UAA. I hope not cos he's a **** solid prospect. I figured we'd just have to wait and see if he shows up.

The Sullivan Arena put a couple of photos on their website today showing that the old crummy scoreboard is DOWN now! (The photos are on the Sullivan Arena's website under the section showing what they've put on Facebook) That scoreboard looks even uglier sitting on the floor, LOL!

I hope they slap some new paint on the walls while they're at it. I heard rumor they were changing the interior paint color this summer, but you know how that goes..

Great! At least we know there will be a new state-of-the-art scoreboard this coming season, even if the other upgrades aren't done. :)

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Our coach signed a 5 year contract. ..What in CC's press release is concerning?

From what I could gather, their new head coach has hired one assistant and is looking for another. Earth shattering, eh?

UAA's facebook page has a post about the new scoreboard. :)
