No. Phuck those people. The only sandbags I'll lay down are those that will lead the water right to those morons homes. If after 30 years of yearly flooding you haven't figured out that you shouldn't be living 10 feet from the river, you deserve what you get.

Not that I wish harm on anyone, but I can't disagree with this point. When something is an annual event, it should be pretty easy to avoid. Yet many people get flooded out and go back saying "Thank-you sir may I have another...". Of course based on that logic, the entire state of OK should move out for the tornado season and the PL lift bridge should never be raised because it gives Tech fans a higher perch to jump from when all seems lost.

Go ask a 5th grader.
Yeah, because it makes sense to show a game between tech and anchorage. Both media markets are nothing as far as a national broadcasting station is concerned. These 2 teams could be 1 and 2 in the country and it wouldn't make sense for NHL network to show the game.

Maybe UAA has more pull than the team in Hennepin county.

That kind of thinking can be applied in a lot of scenarios. You think that if people do stupid things or make wrong decisions, well they get what they deserve? I don't think you want to go there.

Someone remind me - when did threads involving Tech and UAA devolve into a complete beechfest?

Sure it would, and yes it is obvious, but to point out some of the less obvious parts:

First, the game pulls every bit as much as the game right before it, Colgate and St lawrence, probably more. Of course no one is complaining about that game, I wonder why. Second, Tech's media market is South East Michigan, not Houghton.
Third nhl network is smart not to put some team from minnesota on there every week.
Forth, why does it matter anyway. It's on and if it's not important to you, than don't watch.

Well, at least this is true. There are teams from MN on many other channels, people that want to watch those games already get to. On a normal weekend I can watch the Gophers and usually 2 other MN college games, a Denver game, possibly a Sioux game and usually a game on NESN.

So if a person does the same thing 30 times and refuses to use a viable alternative, they still deserve your help?

I think what Dirty is trying to ask is: How many times do we have to rebuild New Orleans before people realize that they shouldn't live on a coastal city below sea level?

Fool me once...at a certain point people need to suck it up and accept their mistake and move somewhere else.

Does anybody know when Tech is due to arrive in Anchorage, and which players made the trip?
