I’ve never seen a show that is both so uncomfortably unfunny and hilarious at the same time. It’s a brilliant show, but it’s torture to watch.

Shameless gets really weird...I dont hate the current seasons as much as some people do but the first 4 or so are way better than the last 3. Except Sasha Alexander...oh my

Mindhunter S1.08 (the tickler) is one of the best episodes of any show in TV history. I hope it wins an Emmy or whatever these cable network direct to Apple TV shows compete for. Brilliant writing. Honestly difficult, highly ambiguous material.
We are in the golden age of television. It is the first time in television history that smart people are writing with no constraints and no need to appeal to the dummies.

A lot of Burnett's scripts are contrived. She was working when TV treated the audience like snowflakes.
Watching her do interviews is great, though -- she is so measured and professional, and half the time the hairdo behind the desk has no idea what's happening.

Watched the first four episodes of the German show Dark on Netflix. Really like it. Part twin peaks and part stranger things.
I do speak German but need the subtitles for at least 60%. Would not recommend watching the dubbed version as the translation makes it tough- much better off with subtitles.

I really think they're going to find something this season. Maybe not a buried treasure. But enough evidence to show that something was man-made on that island for whatever purpose. And that there actually is some sort of pit on that island, whether it still contains money or not may remain to be seen.
