Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Wait wait wait wait wait.

You, Kepler, the snootiest of snooty pop culture citics on here, the person who hates everything popular, watches Survivor?

Yeah, you've officially lost all credability on the TV and movie threads.

But it's such ironic television. :D ;)

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Which one? I have been casting around for someone to root for. God help me, at this point I think I want Coach to win.

And I want Russell Hantz' nephew to seek professional care. That is one disturbed young man.

I know Sophie. If you take a look at the hometowns of the contestants, it's about 15 miles from where I grew up. She is related to a famous author: http://www.thurstonclarke.com/

However, I don't think she followed her father and sisters to the Ivies.

Not only watches it, but critiques it with the same passion as if he was critiquing classic art. :p

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

BTW, for those who want some more info about Grimm before it premieres tonight, here's a brief synopsis:
http://www.omaha.com/article/201110...bc-s-grimm-is-a-well-done-supernatural-series

(highlight for potential spoilers)
(Grimm's) hero is an Oregon homicide detective named Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, "Turn the Beat Around") who fears he's having a mental breakdown: He's suffering from frightful hallucinations in which people he passes in the street morph into death's-head gargoyles and worse.

When he confides in the aging aunt who raised him, now on her death bed, she has good news (Burkhardt isn't crazy) and bad news (he's about to inherit a family curse). Burkhardt is descended from the Grimms, who weren't spinners of fairy tales but a legion of demon slayers fated to battle with werewolves, monstrous bears and other creatures documented in such stories as "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Goldilocks."

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Had pretty low expectations for Grimm, and in that light I was pleasantly surprised. Second episode of Once Upon a Time was alright as well, though the flashbacks bore me a bit to be honest.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Could have at least shot the guy in the head. Shane is eventually going to get his.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

You don't have to be faster than the zombies, just faster than the guy you are with.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I think Hell on Wheels, on AMC, is going to end up being pretty **** good. First episode is a week from today.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Once Upon a Time still good. Hope the ratings stay up. I have Grimm DVR'ed. Heard that was good.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I just wished they let Rubicon have a second season.
I tried watching Rubicon, but I never got hooked and ended up not even finishing watching the season. I also haven't liked Mad Men as much as others, but I don't think it is bad, by any means. I'm hoping to continue to catch up, by watching on DVD, and hoping it ropes me in a little more. At this point MM isn't even close to the 3 shows I enjoy the most: Breaking Bad, Dexter and Sons of Anarchy
