Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Whoever called Daniel's fratboy roommate friend being gay earlier in the thread, good call. The attempted date rape of Daniel is a pretty good indication.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

American Horror Story is really **** difficult to follow, with the characters from many different times, going in and out of being real and being ghosts depending on the time, looking old and young at the same time, jumping from one time to another with little or no warning, ghosts interacting and killing (appearing to kill?) people...and it makes it much more confusing when I didn't start it from the first episode.

Survivor South Pacific: Ozzy makes, quite possibly, the second stupidest move in Survivor history. Maybe the third (James holding onto 2 hidden immunity idols with only 3 tribals left to use them and he got voted out would be second), as he decided to be a sacrificial lamb and ask to be voted to Redemption Island to try to strengthen the team come merge time, while giving away his hidden immunity idol, not only to another team member, BUT THE GUY HE VOTED FOR!!!

The stupidest move was Erik in FvF giving up immunity AT TRIBAL with the hidden idol dead and knowing SURE WELL the other castaways were targeting him.

People still watch Survivor?!?!?

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Due to Game 7 of the World Series, CBS has decided to pull the first run episodes of their shows tonight and air repeats. Great! One less thing to record and watch this week! My DVR is getting full.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I personally know one of the contestants. So this season, yes.
Which one? I have been casting around for someone to root for. God help me, at this point I think I want Coach to win.

And I want Russell Hantz' nephew to seek professional care. That is one disturbed young man.

Coach's entire side if freaking disturbing. They're entirely cultish and if I was on their side I would purposely throw a challenge, tell everyone I did it, and get voted to exile to get away from that crap.

I want the crazy neurotic Harvard boy to go far, if only to see his head explode when he has 50000 scenarios playing in his head at once. He'll probably just run into the jungle, kill the film crew that's following him, and they'll never find him again.

Cochrane is annoying me because he knows he's on the block with the other "ugly people," but he doesn't DO anything about it. This is a general peeve I have with many Survivor contestants. If you know you're an outsider from the driving alliance, do things to try to smash that alliance up. Get people riled up against the charismatic leader: "he will just use you for his numbers game and then vote you off when he doesn't need you." Convert your weakness to a strength: "if it comes down to you and Popular Boy, Pretty Girl, Awesome Athlete, you'll lose. If it comes down to you and me, you have a shot."

I hate contestants who go gently into that good night. I know that some of this is probably the production team's selection of plot arc footage, but don't go out without a fight.

I don't think he's been a 'go quietly' type at all. I agree that he hasn't pushed more from an outsider's perspective and relying on the pot smoking poker player to first come to him and then letting Ozzy try and play Jesus, but he knows he gets under people's skin with how he acts and speaks, so it would be worse for him if he was even more vocal.

Wait wait wait wait wait.

You, Kepler, the snootiest of snooty pop culture citics on here, the person who hates everything popular, watches Survivor?

Yeah, you've officially lost all credability on the TV and movie threads.

Don't worry, he watches it ironically.
