Are the cis okay?
The old TV thread got deleted, so here we go again.

I'm still shocked at last night's Burn Notice ending. Anson is now dead, and Michael Westen has a new mission. And Fi's out of prison!

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I assume the board got hit with a copyright complaint, so they torched all the threads with pictures in them.
I don't think that's it. Show Yourself is still there, and so is the Batman thread, which I'm pretty sure had pictures in it.

That really came out of left field, didn't it? Is Michael going to find out about some new "guy behind the guy" who was directing Anson and had him taken out rather than let him get captured? Because that's starting to get tiresome. Reminds me of this:

Oh! And that ending almost made me forget about the great "boomstick" line in there.

According to the Burn Notice twitter:

Burn Notice ‏@BurnNotice_USA

“Anson’s the last guy, but doesn’t mean there aren't consequences w/ the intelligence world. Conspiracies involve multiple people.” #NixChat

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

OK, so in other words Anson had dirt on somebody important in the intelligence community (his line before he was shot that "I know where the bodies are buried" or something like that), and that somebody important had Anson taken out before he could talk (or threaten to talk as leverage to get released). All good, almost, except Nate was collateral damage, and now Michael has new personal motivation to put some people in the ground.

Tangent: Hartley, the bad guy in the Sam/Barry side plot, was played by William Mapother (known to many of us as Ethan from Lost), who's Tom Cruise's cousin. Do you think he has to be a Scientologist (or at least pretend to be) to get roles?

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

It seems odd that NBC is running so many commercials for "Animal Practice" and none for whatever will replace it once it gets cancelled after two weeks.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Newsroom keeps going in two different directions -- the storylines about Will and the show keep getting better, while the storylines about the kids keep getting worse.

Eventually the show will have to undergo mitosis and completely get rid of Maggie and Jim; they are unnecessary and awful.

Oh, by the way:

I AM THE ONE WHO CANCELS THIS!

I will say I think this latest episode was the best one so far. Jim isn't bad and he finally said out loud what everyone who watches the show has been thinking: "How have you not been fired yet?"

Tonight's Suits is beyond good. I'm actually beginning to like Louis.

They have done a good job flushing out his character this season, explaining why he acts the way he does. I'm intrigued by Daniel Hardman and what his real end goals are.
