Re: TV: Did you make Barry's List?

Finishing a rewatch of SoA....lots and lots of foreshadowing in the first couple seasons (referring to the last 1-2 seasons). LOTS. Still feel it went off the rails a bit in S6-S7, but more understandable now. However, how it's told is still top notch. Still rank top 10 min, top 5 max of all time shows. Have about 5 eps to go to finish the series. Then on to that Wild Country whatever series that you all have been talking about.

I've been trying to watch Wild Wild Country and it's just not good. It feels like it should be really good but they manage to make it completely uninteresting.

I'll try to watch anything. I figure if I don't like it, I still got my dollar's worth, watching as much as I do. *shrug*. We'll see.

Four episodes into The Terror and I highly recommend.

yes. you just cannot escape the feeling of dread that oozes from every scene. even something as innocuous as two people just talking.

That's direction and it is beautiful. The acting is also magnificent. I hope both Harris and Hinds win Emmys.

I knew I had seen Jared Harris somewhere before, but couldn't place him. Looked him up, and saw it was from Fringe. And discovered he was Richard Harris' son. Should have got that just from the voice. Astoundingly similar. And he's been brilliant, the only officer on those ships who's competent, despite being a raging alcoholic.

For the first few minutes I was convinced Philip Seymour Hoffman had faked him own death.

3 eps into Wild Wild Country....Sheela is a power-hungry demented beech. I am finding little fault in the followers, I think they genuinely believe they are doing something good (and they are, to a point). The townsfolk, I feel the same way about. Their way of life is being invaded...they are protecting that as much as the followers are protecting their way of life.

I really dislike sheela

I really dislike sheela

Finished the series tonight. Sheela is nuts. Hypocritical, power-hungry, etc. I almost feel that she subconsciously separated Sheela The PR Person from Sheela Herself, and failed. She became the PR person in all aspects of life during her employment, given her current occupation. What a crazy story.

Archer managed to work in uncensored f-bombs into the premiere this week. They named Cyril “Mr. Fuchs” this season. :D

Pay cable *can* do whatever they want (short of straight up porn). It's pay-cable. They self-police themselves so the FCC doesn't change their minds on the issue. South Park's "Bigger, Longer, Uncut" has been aired for years on Comedy Central (although after midnight) uncensored.

Re: TV: Did you make Barry's List?

Oh, forgot. This last ep of The Americans.....HOLY SH*. Lot to digest. IMO, the Paige bar scene and the Olive Oil scene were the highlights....
