Sneaky Pete.

Based on the pilot this may be good. Not my usual kind of show but Dr. Mrs. dragged me into it and it has promise. Cranston is delightfully villainous.

Most people from the twin cities would be hesitant to try anything called sneaky Pete.

Jesus Christ, Superstar on NBC. The audio leaves something to be desired.

Must be your TV, because the sound is fine for me. I could do without the audience screaming. Really enjoying it so far.

It seems like the singers' mikes are not picking up cleanly, at least on NBC DC (maybe they're more tuned into Caps-Penguins).

And Kep, think of the commercials as entre acte.

That was...wow. I better be able to get tickets to the Emmys this year because THAT is going to win everything it's nominated for. Holy cow. Now THAT is how you do a live musical on TV.

Re-watching Sons Of Anarchy, just about to the end of the 3rd season. The long term foreshadowing is brilliant (we're talking seasons ahead, not eps ahead). Yes the story goes off the rails at times, but those subtleties make up for it for sure.

Yes, it was fantastic. Mary and Aaron Burr Judas were far, far than the any prior performers I've seen in those roles, and my god Alice Cooper FTW. I didn't realize until after that Pilate was the Irish priest from The Exorcist. He wailed! John Legend was a perfectly adequate Jesus, understated as the role is (hint: the musical isn't about Jesus, it's about Judas).

I wasn't sure about Alice Cooper in this, but his performance was great! I think John Legend was definitely more than perfectly adequate but he was absolutely outshone by Judas. I didn't realize he was the actor in Hamilton that called out Mike Pence. Love him even more!!

had zero interest in watching that. watched the Tour of Flanders instead.

To be fair to Legend, the show is Judas' to own or crap the bed. Jesus is just wallpaper for other characters to play off. He's a whiner.

Amazing performances, in rough order: Judas, Mary, Pilate, the lead Pharisee in the Pinhead costume whose name I forget.

Poor performances: none, though I wasn't wild about the Swede.

The real star was the set designer. I'm biased because that was my old gig, but good lord I have rarely seen better sets. They were also shot beautifully, so the cinematographer/director should win something as well.

You missed something really good, and I typically don't like ALW at all. This was a truly great performance.
