The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I wasn't at the Maine game this year and didn't listen to it. I'm inferring they gooned it up, but I think that might have been because of the injury to their player when Nolet hit him from behind. I missed the first two periods of this. I don't think anyone was hurt though from Vermont, but you could be right.
It was getting chippy before Nolet hit him, but the hit was not from behind. It got worse after that hit however, and stupidly so since Maine could have come back to tie it and instead took a cheap shot on Nolet which UMass scored on the resulting power play.
I was more worried about it getting chippy since the game had gotten 'out of reach', but it looks like UVM had class and didn't let it go down that road.
As far as records, this team is good, but lets not forget where we were 1/7/2008 and what the rest of the season was like.
