tUMD vs SCSU Oct 23/24

Re: tUMD vs SCSU Oct 23/24

I think a better debate is which is a better city to go college in. Nothing beats the view from Thompson hill in Duluth, Grandma's Sports Garden, the North Shore, Gooseberry Falls, and lots of other great outdoor activities at your disposal, Canal Park is always fun to pregame before hockey games and lots of hockey rinks to play some puck in the winter.

It sounds like St. Cloud used to have parties every night, but now they don't.

St. Cloud is lucky to have the Mississippi running through it or otherwise you guys would be Morris.

For me it was never about academics because for your average degree, it doesn't matter where you go. It is the city you are going to be living in.

I don't think it even that matters. What I remember from my college days are my friends and experiences. I could care less about a view, or a river, or a particular bar.

I know that wherever I would have went, I would have had fun, just with a different set of friends and different experiences.

My wife and I met in St. Cloud, our first date was a hockey game (UND destroyed us!) and so I'll always be fond of St. Cloud. It's no better or worse than any other city, it's just where I experienced lots of great stuff.

Do agree with you on the education stuff though. I had an employee try to tell me their private school education was worth more than my state school education. Of course when I asked why he was working for me versus the other way around he was a bit flummoxed. :D

See, this is the same mistake some of my SCSU friends make also...We swept you guys at home last year! Just because one of the home games for UMD was on neutral ice doesn't mean it's not a sweep, if anything it's more impressive. We both swept each other at home last year.

You obviously missed the part about Brady getting US a sweep this year, so I am a tUMD fan and alumni there buddy.

I know you are. I was too lazy to look back and find the original guy who said something about it so I just quoted your comment that related to his. It was easier for me.

As for what Biddco said, both towns are good towns, St. Cloud has it's urbanized atmosphere and Chipotle, and we have our scenery and backwoods feel. It's a personal preference is all.

And as for you Tommy Boy, you sound like my grandpa. You've just got your depends in a bunch. This isn't Dr. Phil, it's a forum for College Hockey. So making fun of a kid who's still in college seems a bit foolish, does it not? You seriously sound like my mom. "You will realize when you're older how foolish you sound." Really? Apparently my age makes this backwards, but grow up. Just because I'm younger than you doesn't mean I'm less intelligent. Don't talk down to me. My generation will be changing your diapers in a couple years anyways.

Biddy,

Hi. I don't have much to say I just felt like quoting someone else's post to respond to you. I like your hat collection.

His post original quoted post confused me, it sounds like he is ripping a UMD fan.

With that being said I hope you are serious about my hats. :)

Re: tUMD vs SCSU Oct 23/24

That post is hype?
Wow, what passes for hype has dropped dramatically then.

{sigh}

Did you also eat paint chips? It's an additive process and formula. I heard more about Lee on this board this summer than I did about Phil Kessel when he was coming to the Gophers. Heck, there's a Sioux fan around here somewhere who agrees with me on this.

That is what is known as "hype".

Add that to Short Bus' insane expectations and..............there ya go.

I thought Shortbus was driving the Joey Benik Express these days.

Peanut Butter Hjelle time >>>>>>>>> Lee hype on USCHO.

He was commenting on a post that somebody had written earlier, mocking it sort of. I read his post and remembered how stupid I thought the first post was. I decided to quote his post about the first persons post and comment on it saying that I thought the first post was stupid also. Not OVERLY complicated.
