Aha, this is true in this usage, you are correct.

You know, I have hoped in many instances for an arena collapse, but this was not one of them. The NHC? That can collapse any time. Although with the way SCCC has been playing it wouldn't take many of their fans with it.

Agreed. I thought we would get 0 and lose by at least 2 goals each night. Patterson played outstanding. So did Crandall of UMD. Refs called some stupid penalties on both teams tonight and missed some obvious ones on both teams. Not going to complain about them, although yeah, that was an obvious trip on Barriball at the end to prevent a shot in the slot. That unfortunately will never be called w/2 seconds left in the game.

Glad to see the Gopher PK show up for this series. Just wish the Gopher PP would have shown up.
Solid series by the Gophers. Glad to see them pull 3 points out of this series.

Question for UMD fans. There was someone on the UMD bench - equipment manager maybe? - who looked like he might be going through chemo, anyone know what the deal is? He was wearing a facemask and his hair was short but had the look of someone losing it from Chemo. I hope he's ok. Thanks.

That is Chris Garner, our equipment manager. You may have heard about the jersey auction held last month to benefit him. He had a form of blood cancer and had chemo as well as a bone marrow transplant. So far he has a clean bill of health!!!

And really, even if they did call it, would it have mattered? There really wasn't enough time left to do much of anything that would be short of a miracle.

I had not since I don't often venture into threads for other teams, there's just not enough time in the day. :( Appreciate the resonse and I retract all the mean thoughts I had about you the past two days but didn't actually post, you're a stand up dude. ;) :)

It was its own thread, but one of those that might have been missed, esp. if you're not a jersey hound. Almost every school sent a jersey, plus NHLers gave sticks and some jerseys. It was run by the equipment manager at SCSU, a college friend of Chris's. It was a very successful auction and had to have covered a huge portion of his medical costs. A BC jersey went for $2500.

And you are a wanker!
