tUMD @ UMTC: Fire Lucia and hire Hill!

Re: tUMD @ UMTC: Fire Lucia and hire Hill!

If Fontaine hadn't counted to two before shooting at a wide open net, your team would have completed a comeback and likely would have won in OT.

Now that we got the one game of effort out of MN this weekend, I fully expect game two to feature lethargic suckitude.

Come on. Give em' a little more credit. It was a little puck luck that the puck wasn't flat so Fontaine could fire it immediately (Or maybe one could give a really wild explanation that it just wasn't a perfect pass to him.). Same thing that happens at several points in any game. Wasn't a failure on Fontaine's part. Just like I agree that the Hoeffel "slash" wouldn't have been called if the D hadn't skated in and snapped his stick. No different from what players do a few times a game to pressure a goalie in every game. Even the lucky bounce, only happened because they were coming to the net. Sure, a bounce here or there and the game is different, but that is hockey and we have to accept they played well enough to beat a very good team. And on a Friday night at home, no less. Let's not go all Scooby, and just enjoy that they won.

And Sunday has been their day, so maybe this will be the weekend with two strong games? Hope they can stay out of the box as UMD is a bit much to handle with the Gophs less than impressive PK.

I'm not to excited about the delay, as I knew I had tonight clear to watch the game with a beverage in hand. Sunday afternoons are harder on the domestic front, and the beverage is out with a game to play later on. I thought things were supposed to calm down by afternoon?

The Cities must have gotten the Snownamia that was predicted?

Ask yourself that question. Shoving your stick in the face of a goalie is a penalty. Sorry honey, you're wrong.

Jeebus. You have some of this thickest homer glasses I've ever seen. You can make things up like it was in his face, but the fact is, it was no where near his face. Honestly, sioux fans after a gopher-sioux series are easier to talk to.

Are you stupid?

Why would I even ask that question when the answer is yes.

I made up nothing.

The stick contacted Reiter's helmet or at least it appeared to on the FSN replay. How it contacted Reiter and whether it was a penalty are another story.

That's because we aren't bitter about losing to the Gophers since it rarely happens now.

Well things are looking up for two days now for the Gophs. Win on Sunday and all they need to do is get sweeps in UND and Denver Series, and maybe Wisconsin in Wisconsin at home and they are in great shape. Than maybe they could afford a split with UMD uin their house. Should be easy!

While I thought the Gophs played a great game for the most part, I would like to see a little more crashing the net for rebounds. The UMD goalie didn't seem to be in complete command of them. It paid off on the pinball goal and some of their better chances came on rebounds throughout. I expect we'll see a UMD team that comes out stronger in the first on Sunday.

Bulldogs, you have a strong team there.

Wow, are you ever a c0cksucker. Please. I saw what happened. I sat in section 10, row 8. PERFECT SPOT to see it. Where were you? Sitting on your fat *** at home?

Real ladylike, no wonder people confus you for a guy. This is hilarious. I apologize to all the Sioux fans out there, at least Sioux fans don't resort to childish namecalling.

Funny story, I was at the game.

Hm, interesting how you say I'm childish while then making snotty comments yourself. I'm sorry that I don't wear frilly dresses, speak only when spoken to, and faint when under the slightest duress. You have a very modern view of women, little boy.

Sorry, you were sitting on your fat *** at the game. Tell me what section you were sitting in. That'll tell me what kind of view you had.

I like how everyone assumes that it's some sort of majority rule as far as what happened on the play. And also how people say Hoeffel was nowhere near Reiter when he was yanked off Reiter by another Bulldog directly after sticking Reiter in the face. Let's just all gang up on RWD because she dares to suppose the referees made the correct call on the precious little rodents.

Dude, you need to settle down.

Re: tUMD @ UMTC: Fire Lucia and hire Hill!

I always find this argument funny, that a person watching on TV couldn't have seen the play as well as someone at the game. While this is true of plays away from the puck where the camera doesn't catch the entire play, or when talking about how a team plays positionally, I don't understand how the person sitting in a seat can claim they saw it better than a person watching multiple replays from different angles on TV. It is a well used way to dismiss opinions one doesn't like, but isn't real logical. Overall though, it really doesn't matter at this point what happened, as it ended up not affecting the outcome. The Dogs still lost.
