So, are any of the UMD fans here on forum making it to the games this weekend?

I doubt it... let us know if you see any UMD fans. I would be surprised if there were more than 10.

Typically with such a distance the only visiting team fans one usually sees are alumni living in the area and the player's families.

Exactly. I'm expecting a split at the worst for UMD. I am optimistic they can sweep.

I enjoyed the twitter banter between @OSUKnucklebucks and the UMD twitter all-stars. Fine way to stay entertained on a date night with the wife.

I sounds like that game was kinda sloppy all around. Any comments from anyone who actually saw or heard this thing go down?

It was sloppy at times. I thought the difference in the game was the way that UMD while in there own zone took time and space away from the Buckeyes most of the night. Once again the PK gives up a goal for now the 7th straight game. I thought the Buckeyes owned the 3rd period until that 3rd Bulldog goal. If DIzngle scores instead of hitting that crossbar i belive the buckeyes win but he didnt and UMD did a nice job from there.

Despite the loss I think we played our best balanced game of the season so far. The passing and puck handling were very good tonight and we seemed pumped for this game. The PP still S*&#S and if we scored on 2/3 of our PP's we would have had this game.
The mistakes by the defense were much less than they had been but the last goal by UMD was when our man lost his guy to get open in front of the net for the pass.
UMD did a very good job defensively tying up our sticks robbing us of some very good scoring chances. It only takes one goal to win a game, defense seals the deal!
I think the teams looked very evenly matched and just those little intangibles of the bounces and rebounds went UMD's way tonight to help seal their win.
As long as we play as well tomorrow and aren't demoralized by the loss I think we have a very good chance of winning. I already can't wait for faceoff!

Sounded like it was a rough game during many times...UMD was lucky to get the goals when they did. This is one of the games that fans should remind themselves when there is another game where puck luck isn't on our side. We had some good puck luck and we'll take it.

UMD will have to play better tomorrow if they want a chance to sweep.

It is thrilling to see UMD's freshmen class provide so much scoring. I did not think that Osterberg would adjust so well to the college game. He is playing very well right now and helping players like Farley and Cameranesi who are having a slow start to the season (please don't be a sophomore slump).

Like I said, I thought both teams matched up pretty evenly and whoever plays the hardest tomorrow will win.

tOSU--Great job tonight. Y'all came out firing and took advantage. I hope your football team gets a shot at the Natty and takes it home.

tUMD-We need to find the PP and put the biscuit in the basket. I hope our football team gets out of its super region.

I thought UMD played down a notch tonight and we played up one. You certainly can't fault the effort of the Bulldogs but I think our guys were determined not to get swept in their house and that determination showed tonight. We still had defensive miscues, we were lucky on some others not so well.
On the 4 on 4 UMD scored on I kind of saw it coming as when they were coming up ice into our zone Healey was looking all around like he wasn't sure of his position and they got past him and scored.
Early on our PP looked MUCH better, more speed & movement and we scored.
Now we have momentum going into our next series!

two good games and it was very nice to see the UMD players congratulating Rohlik after the game.

Hope the next time you guys come to Ohio you walk away with two solid victories.*

* - and for those of you starting to worry - they're next trip Ohio is at the end of this season and it's to Oxford.
