Biddco is making this thread slightly early because he likes the thread title and wanted to use it before someone else made another. This will be a fantastic series that has huge PWR implications for both teams. Should be a pretty full barn with two UMD fan buses and a group of Gopher fans from GPL who are making the trip. Biddco is sad this series won't be continued in the near future and will miss talking in third person greatly.

tBrenthoven has been counting down tdays until this trip for a while. This is due to tGophers not going to Houghton anymore, and for an escape for a couple days. tBrenthoven says this will be a fun trip, and that having MTU being good this year (LEGIT!!!) does help tcause.

Section16RowA has to take Biddco to the middle school English woodshed for the thread title for using the sophomoric "we." Section16RowA's first impression was Tech fan wrote title. Section16RowA suggests "tBulldogs have a Finn...." Section16RowA references the Seinfeld episode where GF uses the "it's me" at start of a phone conversation to justify pet peeve with fans misusing the term "we."

Section16RowA also thinks this will be a great series and was thinking of heading to Houghton to watch a game. Fortunately, Section16RowA has spent many work related evenings in Houghton and has fulfilled lifetime sentence (50) of required nights in Yooperville. Section16RowA wishes for it to be on TV in Duluth like a kid wishing for a pony for Christmas.

tBrenthoven disagrees with t"we" portion of tSections argument. As a fan, using tterm "we" means tfans and tteam is one entity. tBrenthoven also thinks that tSection is missing out on a fun experience this weekend, as a few Gopher fans will be randomly crashing this series.

tSection16RowA first asks for mea culpa on first post not using t with name. tSection16RowA sees some merit in tBrenthoven's reasoning, but use of t"we" usually causes confusion in daily conversations. tSection16RowA has frequently heard someone exclaim t"we won" and until further clarification that this person is a fan of Team X, welp....

tSection16RowA appreciates tBrenthoven stating "as a few Gopher fans will be randomly crashing this series" to communicate clearly who is doing what; rather than lazily referring to a specific group as t"we." tSection16RowA files overuse of t"we" as assumed familiarity.

tFade is concerned about this series, given that tInstitution is coming off a bye week and tUMD just maintained momentum by sweeping tCC. tFade thinks tUMD will win on Friday, and tInstitution will come back for tsplit on Saturday.

tFade thinks tickets will not be all that hard to come by. tInstitution's semester break begins this weekend, and many students will be leaving for home. tInstitution has historically done a poor job of convincing student fans to stay for series that coincide with tstart of breaks, and tFade would hope that with tHuskies doing well this year and facing a strong opponent that tInstitution's marketing is going all out this week to change that. tFade is not surprised by tticket deal, but tFade thinks that is not enough.

tMel was referring to Scott Owens, formerly of Colorado College, not Scott Sandelin. huskyfan thinks tMel best stick to coaching hockey and not judging hair as Coach Owens was not even in the Best NCAA Coaching Hair Contest. neither is tUMDs coach. huskyfan thinks tMel is now the WCHAs best hair. tDon is still at the top of the Big 6/10/11/12/14. huskyfan wants a separate thread for Coaching Hair, where the different leagues can nominate their best candidate and we can have a vote off, like Freddie's futile four.
