tUMD @ Michigan Tech: Time for some 3rd person

The defending national champion UMD Bulldogs travel to the Copper Country and Houghton, Michigan for a non-conference series with Michigan Tech.

Biddy is making this thread because he wants to do some talking of third person. Although Biddy decided to do 3rd person on Twitter this week in honor of this old tradition.

Biddy is, of course, excited to travel to Houghton as it has become a very special place for this Duluth loving man. Biddy is sad becuase of work he cannot make the Blue Line Luncheon. It was fun attending as an opposing fan 6 years ago.

Biddy hopes Tech and UMD continue playing as they are both traditional rivals and are among the closest teams for each other. UMD is the second closest school for Michigan Tech while Tech is the 4th closest for UMD.

The JMSIA will be packed as it's Parents Weekend and there will be lots of families in town.

Re: tUMD @ Michigan Tech: Time for some 3rd person

It's good news that Biddy will be in Houghton for the weekend. His staunch support for the Huskies (after his Bulldogs) is always appreciated.

lawdoggies would also like to see the schools continue to play one another. The games have been pretty good and lawdoggies has always enjoyed what Duluth offers in either fall or winter.

lawdoggies is concerned for the Huskies this weekend, though. Duluth are the champs, played a tough series last weekend, and might remember the Ice Breaker. Tech, on the other hand, has 11 new faces and only an intra-squad game for a tune up. lawdoggies agrees the Mac will be packed and rockin' ... it should be fun.

[SUB]t[/SUB]JohnsonsJerseys will also be headed to Houghton for this epic match-up and hopes to find the Houghton/Hancock metroplex making a fine recovery from this Summer's floods. [SUB] t[/SUB]JJ also thinks the Institution needs to do a better job bringing parents to town on "off" weekends rather than trying to cram hockey hockey opening weekend, football, soccer and Hall of Fame inductions in with parents' weekend. Have parents' weekend in the middle of Winter when we play an Alaska team and bouncyball is on the road.

MS hopes that when Duh Bulldogs do their patented dives, the referee calls them on it.

Re: tUMD @ Michigan Tech: Time for some 3rd person

Fade knows that Tech needs these wins, and not just for the sake of Tech's PWR at the end of the year.

Fade wishes that Fade had planned Fade's vacation a bit better so that Fade could attend these games, but alas, Fade will be in Boston this weekend, which Fade booked months ago.

Fade thinks tUMD is in for a lesson in pain in Tech's barn. Boom-shak-a-lak!

Re: tUMD @ Michigan Tech: Time for some 3rd person

tUM has a soft spot for tMTU and would to apologize for beating down tUMD this past weekend, making them really hungry for a win this coming weekend. But hey, we are only looking out for us. That being said, go tMTU. Get you some.

tBrenthoven will not be making a trip there, although tBrenthoven will be travelling halfway on a B-double-E-double-R-U-N event to Amherst WI.

tBrenthoven hopes tMTU sweeps, but getting swept is more likely. :(

Ironicly, [SUB]t[/SUB]JohnsonsJerseys will be in Boston NEXT weekend to watch BU at Merrimack (among other things) because he told his friends that this weekend was Michigan Tech's home opener and to pick another weekend. [SUB]t[/SUB]JohnsonsJerseys recommends that you take your caah and drive to someplace with good clam caaawdah for dinnah.
:)

Jimjamesak is just happy to see this tradition lives on. Jimjamesak will likely not be watching though because you folks insist on starting so early that Jimjamesak will still be at work.

Jon enjoys traditions. TRADITION!

Biddy is a good husband ;)

Biddy notes UMD has not done that as much without a couple of players who left a couple years ago.

A change in travel plans will now allow Biddy and Co to attend the luncheon. Hopefully Sandy shows up (unlike last time).

Re: tUMD @ Michigan Tech: Time for some 3rd person

Biddy had another great time in the Copper Country. Biddy enjoyed the luncheon where he met Sandelin for the first time. Biddy is sad that UMD and Tech will not play each other for at least two years, maybe more. No more third person for a long time, hopefully the teams will find a way to play. Sounds like their non=conference schedules are full in the next couple years.

But Biddy will be back in the Copper Country over Thanksgiving when he visits with some Alaska fans.
