Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

Norwich wins 6-2, however St. Mikes gave them a game. St. Mikes played better than Plattsburgh.
not with just 9 shots, they didn't.

It was not quite circle the wagons and let the hostiles fire away, but it was close.

Yea I didn't realize the NCAA let high school teams compete with college teams at this level....

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

Apparently you didn't see Concordia-WI two years ago.

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

They were baaaaad. Especially when they stopped trying to compete, right there in their own zone.

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

Norwich gave up a few stupid penalties to keep the game close at the halfway point. The two St. Mike's goal were both PP Goals, and Klinger didn't have a good shot at either one. The Cadets seemed intent on holding on to the hardcore belt, but St. Mike's ultimately prevailed on that account. Seriously, NU took some stupid back to back penalties in the second period to keep the game close. That kind of play won't work with the good interlock teams. Gives coach something to work on.

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

Looks like the third of those "incidents" took place 0:02 after the UNE timeout... I'm guessing that nullified anything the coach was trying to do with Timeout.
All the penalties were after the game ended. I think the final whistle blowing nullified things a lot more.

edit: although if you saw them all saying 18:00, then obviously you wouldn't have expected them to be at the end of the game, now would you? :)

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

wait... how the... I swear, when I look a minute ago it said 18:00 for all of those!

It was at the end of the game...I was there...The shots are way off by the way...I think there were counting attempted and blocked shots...I had 43-27 USM in that department....

Re: Tues. 12/8 Scores: #1 & #3 In Action Mid-Week

USM has racked up 87 minutes of penalties in the last two games...what's up with that?

Ummm they got sick of taking crap :)...On a serious side USM the last two years(especially last year) was lacking some push back and got run out of some games , that won't happen this year and I think in the long run this will make them a better team...

Oswego diden't impress me last night when they played at Utica.Grant it,they won the game on a lucky bounce, but if they continue to play the way they did against Utica, they're going to get beat/upseted very soon.

Gunn-Taylor was okay in net for the Lakers, but he diden't seem like a goalie thats going to be spectacular in net for the Lakers all year long,or be the goalie who a #1 ranked team needs. From what i've heard,Beckwith should be the starter.

I've already put it in my SUNYAC pick'ems,if Hobart plays the way they did aginst Utica and Manhattanville and Oswego plays the way they did aginst Utica.Hobart is most definitly upsetting Oswego at Home. All Oswego has to do is just skate faster and then they should be fine, their already quick with their sticks, got their passes and definse down, they just need to skate faster into the opposing teams zone.

and for god's sake, they had a 2 minute 5x3 last night against Utica, and they acted like Utica on the PowerPlay, they just woulden't shoot the puck.A team like them should have had 2 goals on that Powerplay and the Lakers should have put the Pioneers away much earlier last night than when they decided to do it mid-way through the third period.

Perhaps they would have if Luckow hadn't kept knocking the net off whenever he got beat.

If Gunn-Taylor plays like he's played in every other game this year, I would expect Oswego to win. Not to mention that Nick Broadwater is not Keith Longo.

Either way, it should be a good game, but I would think that yesterday's game was more of an aberration considering the Lakers are 11-1 with some quality wins on their resume.

I agree bud.

but.....it wasen't just Luckow kicking off the net.....the Oswego players were also knocking off the net too at times and then blaming it on Luckow.Fox hit it off a couple of times and Fox was putting the blame on Luckow.Oh well, whats done is done and thats the past.Oswego won on a lucky goal fair and square.
