We can do this a few ways: any appointment or confirmation and you need to pick a date they get fired.
Or
We can play this another way

She will be re-sworn in on January 6 or 7, or thereabouts, right? Agent Orange is sworn in on January 21, so it would be a huge gamble for Stefanie to resign her seat before being officially nominated, which can’t happen until January 22, or so, given how Inauguration Day generally plays out. So New York’s governor can’t call for the special election until she resigns. How long does it normally take for NY to complete a special election? How long could the process be officially delayed? Is her seat generally safe?

could take up to 6 months, so a good chunk. And with NY’s legislature being controlled by Dems, guarantee it’ll take that long. Her seat has been safe since she was in it, but it contains the Adirondack Forest, so if a candidate comes along that wants to Drill Baby, Drill it could switch. It was under Dem control for a long time. Bill Owens, Scott Gibson, and it was the seat held by Kirsten Gillibrand before she was appointed to Hilary Clinton’s seat. It’s been Stefanie pretty much ever since 2012 or so. Before Stefanie, it was held by John Sweeney, and before that, Jerry Solomon, who was responsible for Saratoga getting a National Cemetery. It’s been gerrymandered a bit, so it might not be as purple as it seems, but with the right candidate, could be taken back.

To be honest I do not think there will be many firings this time. The list will be of total capitulation magats and the incoming Trump administration is already advocating for bypassing the confirmation process.

I’ll take current Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy at 9 months. Dude is pretty easy guy to throw under the bus at the first scandal.

Rubio: I'm of two minds. This is going to be a shit job and every other country is going to treat him like shit. Not sure how long anyone lasts there. On the other hand, Marco is a little bitch and will do whatever daddy says.

Scott Bessent - Treasury - 1-27-2025

Right now I've got Duffy as the lead to last the shortest amount of time.
