TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

Oh, and I got some good news tonight. Called Sid's Liquors, and it sounds like I can order a couple cases of the infamous Baltika No. 9 51ozers! 12 bottles per case, at most it should be about $75 total ($3/beer, times 24, plus tax). While it should be cheaper on the simple fact of volume, I am gonna expect a special order fee or something to be on the safe side.

Final 5, here we come! :D

So I should bring $30 for the 3 beers each day? :D

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

That. Is. AWESOME!! :D

The manager took my info down and he's supposed to get back to me. I included the fact that I wanted in in early March (just to be on the safe side), so hopefully I'll get a call this week.

JF: this will be a limited distribution to certain people. I know I'll have two, diva/FM prob one each, and BPH has already claimed 2. Since you're a preferred fan of the Rube, I can put you down for 2 if you want.

Crap, where's Ralph? I need a spreadsheet or something for this. :D

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

If you end up with too many people on your spreadsheet you can bump me down to a reserve order of 1. Don't want anyone to miss out on account of my alcoholism. :D

Will do. And if you just want a MORE than comfortable buzz.....one will do very nicely. I had one over the course of a MN Gopher game.....and that was fine for me that night.

Although, beer has always hit me harder than hard liquor, for the record.

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

The complaints might be justified this year. :p

Put me down for 1, since I'll have whiskey with me as well.

Hell with that, we're crashing DL's!

And if my math is correct, using $15/case of normal beer, and $75/case of Baltika, it's 19.2 ounces of beer for a dollar for the normal beer, and 16.3 ounces of beer for a dollar for the Baltika. However, the Baltika is much stronger. So it's pretty much a wash as far as cost goes.:)

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

Who or what is "Super Slappy Monkey F*nuts?"

And FM and I wouldn't be getting in until Friday afternoon.

It's actually Super Monkey Ball, but I could never remember the name of it, so I called it Super Slappy Monkey F*nuts. :o

There's a mini-game on there where you are a monkey, and you are in a hamster ball and you fly to a target. And you can have two players fly at once, so it's possible to fly into each other. It's bizarre, and fun. And easy to make dollar bets on. :D

Edit: and thanks to con1977, it was the thing that calmed me down from Mankato Meltdown.

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

I'm not sure why I'm looking forward to these huge beers. It could be because Hoven seems to think 52oz in one sitting is a lot. :p

Again, it's NOT the amount of beer. It's how you feel in relation to the amount of beer. 3 talls at BW3's? Meh. A Baltika No 9? Much different.

And Twitch: PS2. I have the Party Edition, where you don't have to unlock the party/mini-games.

Re: TRP: The Speed vs. Comfort Conundrum

I think I'll be staying away from consuming alcoholic beverages for a while. Seeing as how it screwed things up a lot recently.

On another topic, I love bacon. Not cooking it though, because the grease is hot and burns me lol

I had a little less than half on Saturday, and... well... that was fun!

I think nursed throughout the evening, I would be supersmashed, but I would live.

And I want to see this slappy f*nuts game. Perhaps a post game get-together on Friday or Saturday?
